Comment:

I took Dr Davis this past summer and ended up w/ a C :( I bombed the 1st test by reading the book and not enough of the notes. He has dry humor but none the less, I enjoyed listening to him speak. Do Not buy the book and go to class. If you are not there, then you will not have the notes. No extra credit over the summer! Projects he gives are fun.

Not an easy class... but it's because I analyze tests. "The only reason any student will have trouble in my class is if they go over the test too quickly and don't pay attention to the questions or if you analyze too much." LECTURE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BOOK. Record if at all possible. Write down EVERYTHING.

Pretty easy class. Definitely attend class or you'll fail. Tests come from notes - I never once opened my book! He can be a little condescending towards students who ask questions though. And some of the questions on the tests are tricky, but overall an easy A or B class.

This is NOT an easy class. I didn't take it seriously and ended up with a C...you have to go to every class, take notes, and really study, because if you don't do well on one exam, it's pretty much impossible to bring your grade back up. You DEFINITELY need the book because there are no supplemental materials online or anywhere.

Although I thought Dr. Davis was a nice person, I was a bit disappointed in his class. The tests were confusing and there wasn't supplemental material (no PPT's, study guides). He also talks really fast. If you read the book, it'll just confuse you because his lectures don't correspond well to the material in the book, & he tests on his lectures

Davis is a really interesting teacher. He sounds like Putty from Seinfeld, lol. But he provides good examples. I never used the book and I'm getting a B so far. Class is interesting but tests are indeed tricky but not hard if you review material a lot.

his voice will put you to sleep. but if you can manage to stay awake, his class isn't that bad. he knows what he's talking about and the projects are easy. see if he'll let you buy an earlier version of the book, huge savings there! great teacher, would definately take him again!

he was funny and you could tell hes experienced with advertising. good examples. dont buy the book, just take good notes in class. GET NOTES IF YOU MISS A CLASS. he shows lots of video clips too. You don't need to buy the book. Just GO TO CLASS and TAKE NOTES. If you do that, an A is EASY! If you do miss class, get the notes from someone else or you could be screwed on the exams. He also does a review before exams which is definitely helpful.

I liked the class...sometimes Davis was a little boring. Take good notes and you'll get ATLEAST a B in his class. I didn't think the book helped much; I only read the first two chapters and ended up with an A.

Davis was pretty funny and gave lots of good examples, but I didn't like his tests. They were short, so you can only miss a few, and the wording of the questions was sometimes confusing. Otherwise there were 2 easy projects and the class wasn't bad.

Fun class! Professor is funny and has great examples for Lecture. Tests can be hard, but the quizzes are easy. One thing I didn't like was that we didn't have a set schedule for tests and quizzes. And the projects aren't too hard and they're fun.

The class is interesting at times but is also very tricky. I went to class all the time & studied until I had every note memorized and still struggled on the exams. As a straight A student I did not enjoy this class because it is difficult to get an A in, even with the extra credit offered.

This was a very fun class. The lectures are pretty interesting if you are interested in the advertising field. The test are tricky though, and theres only a few questions on each so you HAVE to study the notes,and take very DETAILED notes, to get a good grade. No need for the book.

Teacher is pretty thorough and subject is straigh forward. THe leture can be a little mind-numbing but if you go you should get a good grade. I studied from the book for the first test and didn't on the second and got a better grade on the second. I would say don't bother with the book. I feel the tests/quizzes are pretty easy.
