Boring and monotone in lecture, which wasn't mandatory and ending up skipping most of the time. 1 midterm, essay, and final, tests were multiple choice, but didn't really go over the material in class.. In terms of grading, he's very lenient and ended up curving. Never went to office hours, but he seems very nice and helpful

Great professor who will help you and explain things when needed. The midterms are a little hard, since the material covered is quite in-depth. If you want to get a good grade, sit in the front of the class. He speaks very softly and it is extremely hard to hear him if you're not in the first few rows.

I had to comment on Hanneman now. He is the most boring professor in UCR. Drones on and on, monotone voice. Everything is online. Exams taken in computer labs, etc. Lecture has NOTHING to do with exams. Very unclear when given an assignment. Everyone in class is literately falling asleep.

He is soo nice and helpful. I was scared to take soc 5 but he really helped. Going to his office hours really made the class easier. He is very lenient in terms of grading, so no problems there. I would definitely take any of his classes again. Good job, Dr Hannaman!

Hanneman is a great guy and really knows his stuff. However, I just hate this class. Ive never been a fan of the material. Nothing against him, but the actual class material is not my cup of tea. Aside from that, he's very understanding of scheduling issues, and outside circumstances affecting students.Always appreciated that about profs.
