Bob was awesome! I took several of his classes. Of course you were expected to put in hours in the studio- clay is the course and unless you had a wheel at home, as all art classes go,you needed to create. Studio time was the equivalent to other class study homework time. I loved Bob as an instructor!

He is extremely rude an humiliates students. He made multiple students in my class cry. His critiques are surprisingly fair, but his constant berating and cruel comments make me resent him. The class is extremely challenging and I can't believe he's allowed to be a teacher.

Bob is amazing!! He is so funny! He tends to joke and tease all his students, so don't take it personally. The class is a challenge, but as long as you make an effort and attend class you will do fine. Don't be discouraged! He will teach you the steps on how to make a stained glass window. Take this class!

Bob can scare you with his humor at first but once you get used to it it's fine. Class is a lot of work, you have to do 10 hours outside of class. If you don't have the time, don't take this class. But generally it was an easy going class.

I took this class 20 years ago. It was the worst class that I had taken on campus. Bob humiliated the students and provided little guidance. I am thankful I took it on a pass/fail option. I'm very surprised he's still a faculty member at Towson.

bob is a character, he has a great sense of humor and knows what he is doing, but if you can't laugh at your self or accept responsibiliy, don't take his class. he expects you to work HARD and be self-motivated. and he is super hot!!!!

This class was very hard for me as I'm a commuter taking 15 credits and working 17 hours a week. He expects you to come in every day and work for an hour and if you don't, he calls you a slacker. He didn't like my work too much but I got out with a B+. He's a nice guy, but a little too sarcastic. You have to come in 5 hours a week extra!

I found Bob to be very mean spirited and cared little about the student's work. He seemed to take joy in failing a student. The work load is reasonable, but Bob needs to see a psychiatrist. Oh yes, don't be fooled by any threats he may make, they are most often empty.

Ceramics twenty years ago. Mr. Pittman was fond of offering avuncular--i.e., useless--advice. He made his rounds carrying a welder's hammer: approached my project, said it would never withstand the kiln, and summarily dismissed the it by shattering it with that damn hammer. I'll never forget!

You will be expected to be on that GD Pottery wheel 7 days a week, 3 hours a day! If you don't he will notice, and he will make fun of you to no avail! If you happen to actually make something that doesn't look like a pile of crap, expect it to be promptly stolen in the drying room!

Bob is demanding but fair and friendly. He will not tolerate slackers. The amounts of work he assigns seem like a lot but doing it is the only way to learn ceramics. Defiantly not a class to take if you donĂ¢€™t like working outside of class.

Bob is the rudest teacher I have encountered at Towson. Expect to spend all your free time in the ceramics room and expect him to ridicule and embarass you whenever he gets the chance. Not helpful.

Bob is the worst teacher I have ever had. He is unfair and unclear in his grading policy. Expect to live in the ceramics lab during this course. I wouldn't call him funny, I think he is rude. He will give you a bad grade with a smile on his face.
