Nice guy, but he lectures the entire class period which is very boring. All we really do is read complicated essays and then he lectures us about it the next day. As long as you pay attention to the lectures you will do well on the reading quizzes and in class questions.

Super slow class, had him for two classes and you don't have to read a thing. Just go to class, and he reads the story to you. Yes, I just said he READS the text to you. Tests are super easy and the class is good if you are already a good writer. If you like to read boring text, this is your class. 4 essays each quarter. not an easy "A"

He is a nice enough guy and an easy grader, but honestly I didn't learn much. He likes to lecture a lot which is very boring, and you hardly do any work. Only about 4 essays throughout the quarter. If you're looking for an easy class, this is it.

EXCELLENT English teacher! He clearly enjoys teaching and is very helpful to all his students. I'm very glad I took this class, I've learned so much more about my writing. There is a lot of reading material, but I found it interesting to read and helpful to forming my own papers. You won't regret his class!

Rongner is easy, but boring. He lectures about his lectures and his writing prompts are less than inspiring. If your looking for a challenge avoid, if your ok with falling asleep in class and getting a decent grade hes your guy. I personally don't feel that I gained anything from this class.

bob is an awesome teacher. i missed his class more than a few times and could make up any work as late as i want. there were about four or five essays total, easy. if you get a bad grade you can always fix a few things up and get a good one. bob just tells you exactly what he wants you to fix to get a a paper. i chillled in his class and got a B.

I love this guy! He is friendly, approachable and really easygoing. He sometimes says really weird stuff and you don't know what he's talking about but definitely one of the coolest teachers I have ever had. The course material is interesting, relevant and thought-provoking.

Rogner is a helpful teacher, he wants you to succeed. I have learned a great deal in this class. He is particular about grammar, and spelling in his grading. As long as you try hard in this class you will be fine. If I take English again I will take it from him.

English is one of my favorite classes, and I was disappointed that Rongner spent so little time on literature. This is the easiest class I've taken at Whatcom, and he obviously is more interested in being liked by his students than actually teaching--or challenging--his students. An easy A, he's perfect for boosting a GPA or for required classes.

He's really nice and very helpful. He makes everything you have to do really clear, so you always know exactly what to do. He's also a pretty easy grader. The class was sort of boring, but still a good class.
