I had to take this course because I needed this last credit to graduate. What I discovered was excessively disappointing. No students at Trent have ever even heard his name before. Though he likes to think he is quite popular since he has published books no one has read. I now understand why.

Robert Wright is one of the best professors at Trent @ Durham. He is by far the smartest man I have ever met. He is a fair marker but is very tough. His essays are tough to do because of the size (3,000/4,000/5,000 words) but doable if you work ahead of the final deadline. Class is awesome-based on conversations. The man is a hottie which helps ;)

don't take the class if you want history. take it if you want politics. class never stays on topic making reading a waste of time. he can't control the wingnuts either so good students don't care anymore.no historical readings all political ones. worst part-every course he teaches he puts one of his books as an assigned reading.gimme a break,

Prof Wright is the best and most influential educator I've ever had the privledge of encountering.He expects hard work and dedication from his students and in return grooms and molds them into scholars.This is my second Wright course and I plan on taking as many as I can. Highly recomended. His classes will inspire you and change you perspective.

Fair, approachable and easy going. Only people who hated his class were the ones that had no clue what was going on and made no effort to. Students who just rambled on without supporting themselves with facts didn't do well in his class. Go figure. Great Prof.

one of the better university profs you will ever encounter in your acadmeic life. He will challenge you and in turn you will become a better student and a better thinker! I've long since graduated from Trent so this is an honest opinion and not sucking up/ brown nosing
