Brenda. What a woman. Her demeanor is very overpowering. She is loud but keeps your attention. If you ever want an A in sociology at Cornerstone you better avoid her. For a 100 level class, you have to study and read at least 1 hour a day to keep your grade above a C. Good luck and God bless.

She is a very tough professor. Somewhat organized, but changes the syllabus and then doesn't follow through with the changes. Tests are extremely difficult, and she is a very tough grader. She goes through the lectures really quickly and expects you to remember all of it. I wouldn't recommend her class to anyone.

This class isn't easy, but it's doable. Participate in class (ask lot's of questions!), take notes over lectures and text, go over the study material after each chapter, print off the lecture outlines, and especially study off the Macionis web. She will help if you ask. She'll slow the lecture down if you ask. Nice lady, has high expectations.

Extremely unorganized, unprofessional, and holds students to a very high standard when she is so unorganized. Very judgmental and stuck in her ways. Terrible teacher.

BY FAR the WORST professor I have ever had. She is incredibly unclear with instructions. Being an all A student, I struggled to get a C- in her class due to a lack of clarity in ANYTHING she did. Very unhelpful, and impossible. Half the class failed because we did not even know the assignments that were due. She couldn't care less if you failed

She gives fair grades, and will answer any questions you may have. Speak up in class! Ask questions! After taking this class, I really want to minor in Soc, just so I can take more classes with Dr. King. Amazing teacher who will challenge your views on life and social issues. Love the new textbook. Make sure to study the back of each chapter!

The intro class was VERY hard, but just visit her office fine, and let her know that you are interested in doing well and are dedicated, and she will help you. Make sure that you understand exactly what she wants on the assignements, because she doesn't always explain, but she is willing to clarify in her office.

Very hard but extremly smart. Sometimes she makes you want to die but you'll come out of her class stronger. She's intense but once you get use to her it's not so bad.

I had this professor all four years at Cornerstone, and I grew to love her! She knows her information and really opened my eyes up to the social world. She is tough, but it pushed me to learn more. Her intro sucks, don't let that stop you from taking her in the future. The upper level classes are much easier, trust me. An amazing woman of God!

She doesn't really like teaching this class it seems like, but she knows what she's talking about. She's tough, but she's fair, but when she says something is due, make sure you have it in at that time

She hates teaching Gen-ed classes and she acts like it in class. One of my least favorite profs - not because she's hard but because she doesn't care.

I love this class. i am learning because her assignments actually make me think. She is hard, but it is not a ridiculous amount. She expects a lot from students, but no more than should be expected from college students
