Avoid this class at all costs. She is very rude, and marks VERY unfairly! Has no respect for students and is impossible to follow in lectures. Preaches respect and good relations and treats everyone like garbage. I was afraid to ask questions, even to clarify because she would just bite my head off like everyone else. Take it through someone else!!

She was rude, never showed up on time, cancelled class within like thirty minutes of the class beginning. She treated us like we were children and yet asked us to be scholars in our essays. The people she used to grade our papers wrote the same comments on everyones and they barely made any corrections to the paper. So no one knew what to fix.

Took ALOT of notes during this class. It was interesting and she was ok for answering questions, but sometimes makes the students feel dumb for asking depends on her mood. Her exams are fair, she marks hard on essays.

I found that if you attended class and took notes this class was very easy. She was easy to understand and the material taught was easy to grasp. She did mark hard I found on essays for a first year class though. She allows alot of time for discussion and encourages it. The text books were completely usless dont bother buying them!

Brenda was not friendly towards students, and NOT open to anyone else's opinion but her own. She read completely off her notes and relied on them 100%. She did not encourage students to approach her. Be prepared to miss a lot of classes because she often cancels them. If you can take this class with someone else, do it!

Avoid this prof. I am was interested in the topic but still found her lectures boring - she just reads her notes - but had to attend because she doesn't post anything useful. She does not respond to questions or facilitate discussions well. Possibly helpful one-on-one, but in lectures she is almost rude and discourages students from approaching her

Pretty much the worst prof out there. This class is filled with so much useless, biased information which is not needed for the final. The essays were marked harshly for a first year class and I barely needed to touch the 70 dollar text book I bought (she told us mid-way it was more of background reading). She's also RUDE!

Absolutely terrible. Excessively sympathetic with the colonizers and bordering on **** at times, makes inappropriate and offensive analogies. Has no idea what she's talking about, completely dependent on her notes, gives wrong information at times. Heaven help you if your opinion differs from hers. Extremely dry, boring, and infuriating.

This is the worst professor at the university. She talks way too fast and it's impossible to keep up with her notes. I can usually write about half of the key points just because she talks too fast.

This professor was terrible! She was completely unapproachable and seemed to enjoy talking down to people. She constantly rolled her eyes when legitimate questions were asked in the class. VERY hard marker and the books that were required for the class were not helpful studying for the exam. Take NS 106 from another prof if possible!

Terri-bleh. Would love to see her teach her class without reading off her notes. Gets upset with you when you ask her to explain things.

Very nice outside of class. If you are a first year student she is very compassionate if you have a heavy workload and may give you extension. Overall class was tough and there were lots of notes, but I really learned a lot.

Terrible Prof! Wouldn't recommend her to anyone. Half of the class dropped. Rude, reads notes from her sheet, you have to go to class just to take notes and you'd better be a really fast note taker!! Assignments are unclear and marked like a third year class. I think she needs a holiday to decide if this is really what she wants to do for a living!

You won't use a text in this class, McLeod knows her stuff back to front. Very patient and if you stop her during class to ask a question she will answer (i've seen many people interrupt her lectures). I find that she goes too fast, so you better learn how to jot down good notes.

Stay away unless you enjoy agreeing with everything she says just to get a good mark. She rejects any opinions but her own, and she doesn't discuss anything in "Canadian politics" that might be somewhat interesting. Invest your money in a different class.

Emotionally draining and terrible teacher! Don't try to give legitimate opinions unless they are consistent with hers. I'm embarrassed that I attend a university that employs this woman. If you are looking for a watered down degree this is your gal!

McLeod as a person is a very nice person. As a teacher she only teaches to one type of learner. She gives out notes that have blanks and you fill in as she stands up there and reads off her sheet. This class is BORING!!! If you missed a day you didn't really miss much.
