He follows the textbook painfully close but other then that he is a decent professor. He is very passive and "lax" and its probably just as good to read the book, yet again if u don't like reading the book, his lectures are just fine.

The person below me has no idea what they're talking about. Murphy's exams are the fairest you can get given the course material (200 level course) - do the exercises in the workbook and if you have mathematical ability, the course isn't very difficult. Maybe Huron's Arts students should stop complaining about profs and start doing some work!

Dr. Murphy does not know how to write exams. He seems quite cold and distant. Furter, the material taught in the course has almost NO practicality in the real world. He is an okay lecturer, but the material he teaches is not on exams. Taking his course was my biggest mistake.
