Still hasnt given us our project marks back yet. Its been 4 weeks coming up. Doesnt respond to emails, marked our midterm extremely hard. Every other section received their final grades. Wouldnt want to take a class with him again.

I'll start with the good. His lectures are probably some of the most captivating and interesting you will ever take. He is extremely knowledgeable about the content and and a phenomenal presenter. The bad? He grades tougher than most, participation and quizzes are sporadic, and don't expect to get your grades back before the final exam.

I had read what was on here before his class and was prepared for a lot of ego. Brent was absolutely awesome. Not at all what I expected. He was super approachable and willing to work with you, help out, he LOVED conversation and it really added to the class. I would love to take another class with him! He is a tough marker but still very fair

Comment:

It was a 3-hour Brent-athon. His ego is: visible. Deducted marks for "not having enough bullets and underlined headings". He grades class participation by handing out color-coded notes. So everyone tries to get a word in, and the lecture degrades to people talking, and Brent telling us how he saved the day.

Comment:

While he may initially come off as a jerk, he genuinely cares about students and is very passionate about marketing. He is also extremely knowledgeable and is able to provide clear justification on everything he says, unlike some other profs that just tell you to "trust them". He's a fair grader, but this course is definitely not easy.

Comment:

Supplements textbook readings really well with examples from his personal career as well as engaging activities. Although near impossible, he tries hard to make sure everyone in the lecture is involved and understands. Don't be late for his lecture, or he makes you answer a question on that days lecture material. You have to get it right to enter.

Brent is very knowledgeable & passionate about his subject. However his teaching style is ineffective, chaotic & tough to follow. He covers very little content in class because he gets bombarded with questions. He talks big game but don't be fooled he rarely delivers. Read the textbook & articles because his exam is brutal!

You will totally think he is a cocky jerk... which he is BUT he warms up and he really does care about his students. He said this would be the hardest class we ever take in university because you really do have to show up to class, participate and pay attention, but he was a fair marker and a great prof when it came to making a 3 hour lecture fun

passionate about the subject. knowledgeable. has a silly participation scheme which forces students to keep interrupting the class with dumb questions to get participation marks. class can get chaotic and hard to follow.

Awesome prof for marketing. Has a lot of practical experience in the field which made for tangible examples. A lot of memorization but all the midterm/ exam were both extremely fair. Made an early morning lecture much more bearable.

He doesn't keep his words, often forget to post notes. Specifically, he likes to post notes AFTER CLASS which mark note taking very difficult. And he is really bad at updating marks. He was not able to upload any of my marks prior the final.

Absolutely amazing prof. He is passionate about his students and will take the time and effort to help each and every one of his students. He does believe in hard exams so this class will not be easy but it is truly worth it.

A little arrogant, not an easy marker. Has a very crazy participation scheme where it's fairly hard to get a really high participation mark, but then there are days where he just comes in and says everyone gets full participation for that day. His projects are hard and a lot of work. One good thing to say is that he's very interesting to listen to

He has good work experience but he doesn't seem to have good teaching skills. He is very arrogant, x-military, calls you out and not good in replying to emails. I don't recommend him. The course exam was too long and included many external articles materials (not communicated in advance) The exam was pretty much a memory test

Best professor I've ever had. He actually cares about students, and is truly passionate about marketing and helping students succeed. Show up to class, put in 100 percent, and you'll do well. Loves to answer questions and go out of his way to help you succeed if you show that you care about the course. You won't regret taking the course with him!

Probably the best prof I've ever had. At first he does seem tough, especially for someone shy like myself. But he really nice and cares so much about students - definitely generous with your grades if you attend his lectures regularly. Really passionate about marketing and engages the class in his lectures. Definitely take his class!

He tries to relate everything to real life. Participation is key in his class. He expects people to come to class prepared and provide quality answers. Only complaint is that he is a slow marker. The other sections have gotten their exam marks, but we haven't and the exam was 3 weeks ago. Wrote the exam without our project marks.
