My favorite professor so far at JMU. He is a little strict, but makes the class fun and interesting. I would definitely recommend him. It was a good gpa booster. Plus he is extremely helpful outside of class.

I disagree with the other comments concerning HTM 434, yes the class is difficult but if you read all the material from the text carefully, complete all homework problems, and ask your peers for help and look over your notes on a weekly basis you will have no problem pulling a B in this class. And make apppointments to see the prof for help.

Intimidating at first! Jokes around quite a bit, but is a nice guy who cares about your involvement in the hospitality field. Offers great advice in the industry and getting started, very willing to help in class too. He's fun and the class is interesting. JOURNALing is better than quizzes!

Extremely boring and down right bad at teaching. Extremely helpful outside of class, but can't teach to save his life. Unfortunately, this class is required for HTM Majors. The project is complete bs and the quizzes and finals are way too hard. I used to like this guy.

Wow.I can understand the positive ratings from 250 students but 434 was one of the most painfully boring and meaningless classes I've ever taken. Friendly and enthusiastic,yes,but he grades subjectively and tends to be very uptight. My advice: bring a crossword to class.

Off the wall and fun professor. Class activities are sometimes obscure, but there's always a point in the end. He's ALWAYS on the watch for student internship opportunities and EXTREMELY helpful! I'm not an HTM major, but I found the class enjoyable.
