Prof. Christie is very nice and gives clear, structured lectures. Notes are posted online. T.A. also very helpful! Exams are all over the place, though. Sometimes easy, sometimes hard. Some program to randomly generate questions was being used for the first time, and it was a terrible system! Dr. Christie, don't ever use that program again!

Very good instructor, going to class definetly helps and he gives really interesting and funny examples. For the full year course there was only 4 short m/c (with a few short answer) exams

Very interesting class. Prof is laid back and friendly, and gave us an extension for our papers when we asked for one. Final exam is quite easy and straightforward. Midterm is more difficult, but not unreasonable.

taking the course online.He responds to emails really fast. I can see that he could be somwhat unfriendly. But I have never met him so I don't know much. His marking is not too hard but I'm scared of the essay and final exam!

This class could've been good, but unfortunately the evaluation materials were just awful. Got an essay back with no comments and a poor grade, the final had questions like 'what is your professor's name?' in an attempt to raise our marks because the midterm was esoteric and weird. Not a properly run university course.

I really like going to class, even though most of his lectures are on line. He's fun to listen to and has some great stories. I transferred out of another section that sucked into his class and am very golad I did!

Getting used to no textbook was hard, but the class was a lot of fun. We got to contribute to it a lot, and he was very easy to get a hold of (online 24hrs a day?) I was spurred to write this bc it seems only whiners are posting comments at the moment. I hate whiners, most of them are poor students.

Took this course thru distance ed. Wrote an A+ essay, and got it back with an 80% slapped on it with NO comments. Did he read it? Final exam was obtuse. One question worth 20%, and another asking you to expand on a topic briefly touched on in the book. Hard-marker, little leniency. Be careful -final exam may not justify material.

I'm paying about 1000$ to be told to memorize 500 pages of a biased and over-detailed textbook for the final exam. This online course is poorly constructed and shouldn't be offered online anymore. It's the psych department's fault, not Dr. Christie's, although he's of no help. What will be on the final exam remains a mystery to me.

Halfway thru term, Christie has not covered NMDA R at all even though it's the topic of his class. Instead the students are teaching it from scientific papers and there is no textbook. The first midterm was based on a scientific review paper he never taught and that most people figured was so complicated, we wouldn't be tested on it. We were wrong.

I totally recommend Dr. Christie. Best lecturer in the Psych department I've had yet. Awesome in class and seems to answer questions by email almost around the clock. I've gotten responses within minutes, even after midnight. That's very helpful right before an exam.

Altho the class is a little bit too difficult, but he has good notes, and very interactive. Brings examples to class sometimes, n will appear on his exams. Exams are pretty clear and straight forward. Have to study his notes!
