Comment:

She's a great professor because she loves what she teaches, and I admire that. When writing papers, be sure to use every source she gives you, plus the textbook. Easy tests. She's also great to talk to. I asked for her guidance about an outside activity, and her advice ended up getting me the internship. She'll help as long as you work hard.

She ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF. Really cares about her students and how they do in her class and is SUPER active in getting you opportunities that benefit your future! Her class was informative and left me with a clear idea on how the Advertising world runs.

Comment:

She's taught me a lot! But she doesn't seem to be keeping up with technology. For example, on assignments she insists that we only buy print newspapers, trad. radio (no spotify), and non-digital billboards.. when we all know that we need to learn about the digital side of buying media. Gives very confusing answers to your questions. Ask in person!

I love taking her classes because she's had a ton of real world experience *BUT* she is so open-ended when it comes to papers which drives me nuts. She wants you to explain every detailed thought that goes thru your brain (in relation to the assignment) so papers are always about 10 pages long. Luckily, the exams aren't too bad if you go to class.

I love this lady! She is so eccentric about what she's teaching because she loves it so much. I learn a TON every time I go to class. The assignments are straightforward and not too difficult if you put a little time into them. The media plan is NOT THAT BAD! Don't put it off, and ask for help if you need it. She wants you to succeed!!!

Assignments are straightforward and simple. She's nitpicky if you don't do things her way. Sometimes can be a bit anal, but overall the topic is interesting and she makes it fun. She's super enthusiastic and is normally lenient on having to leave class early/come late etc.

Jackie takes time to get used to. She doesn't baby you through papers but she is always willing to help if you go to her. I never get bored in Media Advertising because she has so much energy and knows what she is talking about. The media plan can be a pain but there are students on campus who can help you through it. I recommend her.

Well, her lectures are kind of nice and I did enjoy those, as well as her selection for showing us stuff (documentaries,etc.) But her feedback is not cool. 35% of it is helpful, with the rest is just her trying to be funny. More feedback isnt necessarily better, in can be counter productive.

Media Advertising class with Jacquie was great. This was my first advertising class I had taken and I know now that I want to keep Advertising as a minor after this class. Jacquie is great, she can be extremely tough at times but she challenges you to think in new ways. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Media Advertising. Only two tests: midterm and final. Some papers, one large media plan. Class was challenging at times but an A is still relatively easy to attain. I learned so much. Jacquie is extremely knowledgeable and always upbeat. She is always helpful when needed.

YES she is a little crazy, but that is cause she loves what she teaches and understands it. That is a great thing in a teacher. Plus it makes you want to go to class. She can be easy or tare you apart. I can see where some wouldn't get along with her but she is one of my favorites!

This class = suck. She talks about the same thing over and over, you will almost fall asleep. First paper is tough, if take it lightly. Most of all though, she is the most scatterbrained professor I have taken. All in all not a bad class though.

I LOVED this class - it was the hardest class I have ever taken, because you write a paper pretty much every week, but Jacquie is great. Grades pretty easily, and is REALLY helpful if you are stuck. Media Plan is hellish, but if you work really hard, and DON'T PUT IT OFF, you can do really well on it. I can't wait to take another Jacquie class.

A fun & very educational course. As stated below, she doesn't hold your hand; it's your responsibility to use your creativity & step outside your box. This class/teacher makes me want to travel back in time and punch myself as a baby. Moves along Soooo effin slow I just want to get up and leave for 30 minute breaks and come back right where I left off. Too bad she's got the market cornered on this class offering, I'd definately go another route.

Best teacher in the Mass Comm. department if not the entire campus! She knows her stuff and is VERY willing to help students if indeed they want help. As long as you work hard, you will get a good grade. She likes to talk but she's SO interesting you won't even mind. Jacquie is AWESOME!

Awesome awesome teacher. She has a lot of valuable information to offer her students. She can get you a job or help you with assignments. I think people are just used to teachers holding their hands, and Jacquie doesn't do that. She realizes babying would be an injustice to students growing up academically and personally.
