His lectures are very long and hard to listen to, he teaches you things you don't need to know for the test. His test are very hard and study guides aren't that helpful. He also refuses to end early and will start a new topic in the last 3 minutes. I recommend not taking this class if you aren't interested in environmental bio.

He is very passionate about environmental bio. But lectures are long and boring and his note taking is messy and all over the place. His test are very hard and the study guides aren't that detailed, you have 3 exams and 1 paper. He only uses blackboard to post study guides and the syllabus, and he doesn't post your grades on blackboard.

Professor Fath is one an amazing professor to be honest. Very passionate about this topic, and makes us think about the environment in a different way. However, the way he formats his tests is extremely hard and rarely covers the material in the exam. Again, hes an awesome man, but his tests are extremely difficult.

This is my second time taking Dr. Fath's class and I am not disappointed. The class we had was very candid because he was learning at the same time we were. He is very knowledgeable and creates great discussion. However, there was a lot of reading. He expects a lot, but as long as you are open to the material, you will do well.

good teacher. 1 group presentation, 1, 6-page single space research paper of your choice, 10 open book quizzes, 3 tests. Knows his stuff, feel like he should be teaching at some big shot school. During semester he had multiple conferences where he spoke overseas in countries like Switz, China, India. Very passionate.

This could be a lot more interesting then it is. The material is not that boring, but learning it in the morning is painful. Definitely a difficult gen-ed.

Difficult for a 100-level gen ed. His tests are pretty hard but he is about as fair of a grader as they come. Lectures are boring, but it is important to pay attention and take good notes to do well on tests. Homework assignments help your grade and are pretty easy. Not an easy A, but if it's a subject you like I would recommend it.

This was the worst "easy gen ed" ever. The study guides dont mean anything in this class he tests on everything in the book his notes are used in tests but so is everything else. must go to class to try and understand him. treats it as a 400 level course if you can take someone else do it!!!!

Fath is a really nice guy. His lectures are clear, and there isn't much need for a textbook. You have short 5 minute homework assignments due every class. There are 3 tests that are long, but fairly simple. You should have no problem getting a B in this class, and an A is within reason with a little effort.

He's probably the fairest grader I've ever seen. What you get is probably what you truly deserve. You gotta work for your grade, and you need to study. If you do, it's a guaranteed B/A. He gives hw in every class, exams need to be studied for in order to get a decent grade, but he provides study guides. The 3 page paper is pretty easy to do.

He is a great professor. He was very passionate about the topic and always tried to relate the material to things that made it more interesting to students. He is also fair in grading and always willing to lend extra help. Make sure to participate--which is easy because he makes everyone feel welcome and included in class.

I picked up this class b/c I needed an easy A one semester and that's exactly what I received. It might even be a gen-ed too. He's nice, tests are simple - notes are sufficient to get A; I consulted the book maybe twice (i think b/c i skipped class). Paper = Easy A. Kinda made me scared that we're almost out of oil haha

He's a cool guy. Lectures can be a little stale at times, but he is really into his subject. You will learn a lot, and you will care more about the environment afterward. 2 tests, a final, and 2 short papers. Take this class!

wow...where do i begin....fath is a character to say the least. he really knows his bio!!!! very unstructured lectures that seem to be dragged out til the last minute each class. GO TO CLASS..he'll cry if u dont. project had too many requirements that no one was even told about...worth the risk??

The classwork and expectations are so easy...class discussions are ok. He's a funny guy, in a dorky way definitely. Not a bad class, workload is a piece of cake. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want a science w/a lab.

This class was pretty good. Easy online quizzes and 3 exams. The only problem is staying awake during the boring ass lectures. Understanding teacher who is willing to help. Has an attendance policy but loses interest in it as the semester goes on.

not a hard class at all. an online quiz each week, 2 current event papers and 3 tests. will hold you until the very last minute of every single class, so don't expect to get out early except test days if you finish early. overall good class to take if you need a science with no lab.

VERY EASY. Tests are straight off the notes and easy to cram for. One reasearch paper is also easy. No attendance policy. Take this if you have a couple upper level classes and need an easy one. Requires very little effort

The stuff he is teaching can be confussing and make the class hard but he tries hard to help you understand you just need to get involved. You can earn 100 easy points with online quizzes. Also do the reading and you will understand the lecture complete
