Although attendance wasn't necessary, it's vital to your success in class. Green drops a lot of hints on what will be on the test during the lecture. Make sure he knows your name as he's really big on participation. Tests were tough but not impossible if you follow his study guide. He's a smart guy & although he'll push you he wants you to succeed!

He is a genuine person who really cares. His exams are 40% MC and 60% written. He is pretty lenient on the written portion if he thinks that you understood it. There are opportunities for extra credit. You need to participate for points, you will learn a lot. Taking him for Auditing in the fall as well.

I have had Dr. Green for three courses at UMD, he's an awesome professor. Exams are tough but that's to be expected in accounting courses. He has many years of experience in the field of accounting and it is evident. Dr. Green knows his stuff. Show up and participate every class and you will learn a lot. One of the best professors at the university

This guy isn't easy but I took him for 3 accounting courses because I LEARNED, that's the most important thing. Not for an easy grade. Pay attention in lectures, volunteer, do your homework, and you should expect to do well. His tests are built on MC(40%) and essays/problems(60%). He hints what the problems will be in lecture. Take notes & use ppts

He gives some extra credit! He wants his students to do well. Funny guy and very knowledgeable about the subject. Taking him again! Quizzes, HW, 3 exams

Professor Green simplifies everything. He explains stuff differently than the book, so come to class. He does get side tracked a lot. 3 exams, a few quizzes, few homework assignments and a group project.

Prof. Green is great! Go to class because his lectures makes the textbook more understandable. The class is 3 exams and few homework/quizzes (alternate every week), and one project (can be done in groups if you want to do so). Give some extra time to learn the concepts outside of class then exams will be easy. He's funny at times as well!

This class is an upper level course so, it should be expected to be somewhat more challenging. Green was sure to keep lectures exciting and often times went through the homework in class. If you take the time to understand the process he's explaining, your life will be a lot easier. This is the only mandatory Auditing class for accounting majors.

If I would have reviewed him early in the semester, it would have been entirely negative. For some reason he got progressively nicer and more lenient as the semester went on. Honestly, he's terrible at lecturing, so you'll have to devote a ton of time to reading the book before class to have any idea what he's talking about half the time.

Not a good professor. Lectures are mostly about his life and "success", his job/jobs, and how he was so great...Does not care for his students, makes jokes of students and is terrible when having to ask him for help.

One of the nicest professors at UMD. This man can flat out teach, although it is unconventional and at times confusing in the end it all makes sense. I highly advise him for 299.

In the beginning, I really didn't like him. In all honesty, he's not a great lecturer. he gets very off topic and really doesn't do much step-by-step problem solving. However, he gives crystal clear study guides that help you figure out what you need to know for quizzes and exams. I'd also suggest getting a Cramster.com account to help yourself out

Definately one of the most knowledgeable professors in the COB. Class discussions are interesting...it's more of a business discussion than straight up accounting. Requires a lot of effort, but you will learn more than you ever thought possible. Highly recommended.

Read the chapter and examine the powerpoints before class. Attend lecture every period, ready to answer questions and contribute to the discussion. Review the study guide he hands out before EVERY test. If you do this there is no reason you shouldn't get a C, he gives a HEALTHY curve at the end. You MUST talk in class though for points.
