Comment:

In class, you go over the homework thats due that night and people ask questions. You rarely go over the material ahead of time so its basically learn at your own pace. He offers office hours, but otherwise its hard to understand the material. It's basically an online course where you have to read the book to learn and show up to go over questions

Tests are on the difficult side, but will ocasionally give points back if you talk to him. Homework everyday, but he will explain things better in his office. You get out what you put in.

If it wasn't for the math lab and his office hours, I would have failed without a doubt. You'll have homework daily, but will regardless of who you take for Algebra. He is a nice guy and will help you out if you need it.

You have online homework over every section but he is willing to help you during office hours and devotes about 30 minutes of every class to helping students with it. He curved every test so if you did well enough you end up getting extra credit. I thought the class was boring because it was so easy.

Stayed on topic and was fairly clear in teaching basic statistics concepts. Probably could've gotten an A with a little more work. He was helpful towards the end of the semester when I started having trouble in his class. I would recommend taking him for general stats.

I think no matter who the professor, Calc is going to be hard, but his "Tuff Problems" made it almost impossible to get a good grade in the class. I felt dumb struggling while the Academy kids breezed through. I ended up having to teach myself from the book because his lectures were over my head.

Do the homework. Take note of non-obvious ways that the text simplifies the problem and remember them. Algebra skills are a must to recognize patterns. Work on them throughly. If you are a visual learner ask for a graph representation. Expect the unexpected.

I have taken stats before but Dr. Haile helped clear things up. He is a very nice man and is always willing to help if you need it. He is one of the most understanding teachers I've had and well try to work around any problems you have. He is very easy going when it comes to turning things in if you just talk to him.

Dr. Haile is very good about seeing you during his office hours and helping with any questions you may have. He posts sample questions online which are very similar to the test and gives you handouts with equations that you can use during the test too. Very nice guy.

I thought Haile was pretty decent. If you come to class and actually open your book, you'll get an A. His study guides are almost exactly like the test! Although he is a bit unclear when you ask him a question, if you pay attention, you shouldn't have any. Decent teacher.

In class Dr. Haile can be a bit confusing.Much better in ofice hours.He works at a alower pace which is nice. Tests are pretty hard, nothing like book or practie test really, but a lot of points in the class.I would take him again because you can flunk tests and still pass.

His teaching style is characterized by a aura of laziness, which is not negative, just that he progresses at a slow rate at times. He has a look of mathematical insanity in his eyes, and it's frightening to behold. Otherwise, the course was pretty easy.
