Brian is a great teacher. The poor reviewers here obviously did not make a concentrated effort in his class. Brian is tough, but fair. Gives honest critique, lets you know where you went wrong, and where to improve. Have the drive and enthusiasm to do the work, and Brian will be the best teacher you will have.

This guy knows his stuff. His lectures are very thorough. He sits at an animation desk at the front with a video camera over his shoulder - projected onto the big screen and goes through every step of creating the assignment. He explains everything really well. He reviews our work hard and points out everything to help us make our work better.

I cannot express enough how bad my experience with this teacher was. I learnt very little from him! When asking for critiqes, he'd tell me to do this-and-that, and when it came to the grading part, he'd mark me down for the stuff that he told me to do! I ended up just getting input from my classmates...best thing I ever did! They were more usefull!

I dunno what you other people were like as students, but Lemay was great. He always gave excellent feedback on my work (even when it was negative he was spot on )and he pushed me to excel in animation. I'm not there yet but he gave me a great start. Can't say enough about how good he was. I guess those who rated him low probably failed the program.

Upon first seeing your animation, he'll say this is right, but change this, and then he'll give you a contradictory mark from what he told you. He sets up unreasonable milestones, and assumes that his class is the only class that there is homework in. He's an unfair marker. He'd be better if he encouraged us, but he always makes us hate animating.
