I had a great time in the course. Lots of opportunity for discussion. There is a quiz at least once a week, so if you miss the lecture make sure you have someone who can give you the run-down of what he went over, because it might not be on the syllabus or online outlines. Don't miss the quiz days as you will not have a chance to make them up.

I really enjoyed Bryan's WR122 class! We didn't have to purchase materials for the class, which is always a plus! As long as you keep up with the work, which really isn't that much, then you will definitely pass. He's clear on grading criteria and quickly responds to emails.

The particular WR122 course I took with Bryan did not require us to purchase ANY course materials. It was pretty refreshing! We focused on international conflict which was eye opening and interesting. He's a tough grader but for good reason, he's extremely intelligent. I will definitely be taking another course with him when I get the chance!

Mr. Hull is an amazing professor. He takes the time to meet and work with all his students. He is very engaging while teaching his classes; furthermore, he takes the time to immerse himself in reading students papers and giving proper feedback. He will not only help you develop as a writer, but you will greatly appreciate it later on in life.

No matter how hard I tried in this class I could NOT get an A. I had a 4.0, and this class ruined it. I spent so much time doing my work to end up receiving a bad grade and having to do my work all over again to just get a bad final grade. It was exhausting.

This professor is the real deal. He cares. He doesn't just teach literature and have you write nonsense. We read about actual problems in the world and write about them. We have to actually THINK when writing. I respect this professor so much for stepping outside the social norms of a writing class. He cares about real issues & incorporates them.

Professor Hull is very intuitive. He makes you think outside of the box and helps you find sources that are not just online. You will work for your grade you want but you will leave feeling fulfilled. Take the course if your planning to transfer or move to a 4-year degree. Your future self will thank you.

Bryan is great! His class was so much fun. I learned more about how to think critically and analyze material than in all of my philosophy classes combined. Beware of the midterm, though--it is basically a memory test, so make sure to take notes on absolutely EVERYTHING during the first half of the term if you want to get a good grade on it.

I wish I could take Bryan Hulls WR121H course for the rest of my life. Some of the most thought provoking, valuable experiences of my education have happened during and while writing for this class. I find myself circling back to the discussion topics or Freaky Friday writing assignments constantly. What Bryan teaches matters: take his class.

This was an awesome class! Bryan's passion for the subject matter was contagious. The volume of work wasn't overwhelming, but you can't get away with turning in something mediocre and hope he doesn't notice. He will. He actually reads everything everyone writes. His feedback was specific, encouraging, and as long as the assignment itself.

Bryan is rad. His thought provoking assignments were my favorites this term. He gives quick and LOTS of feedback. Even if you get an A on a paper, he gives praise and critique. Don't be lazy... Read the entirety of the readings and do the discussions. There's no book, so you actually read current events and use research methods. Take this class!

I am even more enthusiastic about this professor after the second course. An excellent writing instructor and a great film teacher. He is clearly extremely intelligent, and completely without condescension. He has the rare ability to bring light to his students' ideas, and I feel extremely lucky to have been his student. Do not miss the chance.

Bryan is interesting, constructive and has a great personality. Not just an incredible teacher, a true teacher. He is extremely adept at giving students an avenue for discussion and learning without dictating right answers or bias. His feed back is the best I have ever seen. He challenged me to think, not to follow orders. A profound experience.
