Dr. Reed is a funny prof who loves cats and nuclear weapons. He frequently makes remarks in class that could never be said without tenure. The downside is that he expects everyone in the class to have some kind of intuition for physics that does not always exist. If you ask simple questions he will sometimes make fun of you for it.

Dr. Reed is a very intelligent and knowledgeable professor. He works very hard with his teaching. He, however, tends to flip out and call people stupid as if being robotted by some cosmic force that Newton hasn't quite figured out yet. I still probabably scored top 15% of this class and 'learned' the material instead of scarfing and spewing it.

He is completely different inside and outside of class. In class lectures he is condescending and arrogant. He had to know a lot and expects the same of you. Outside of class he is very helpful. Very understanding as well, just act like you give a crap and he will give you the time of day.

I actually found him quite condescending and rude ... he seemed to find enjoyment out of calling us dumber than his cats and he consistently blantantly puts down Dr. Gibson which is just RUDE and unprofessional. Maybe he's better for upper level classes...

I had Dr. Reed for a Spring term physics class and I loved it so much! He is absolutely hilarious, one of the most adorable men I have ever met. He loves cats wears silly ties and has a Canadian accent!!! I love him!
