Paul is BY FAR one of the most intelligent profs I've encountered at LU. He truly has a passion for his work, and it shows. His lectures are interesting and informative, and he is ALWAYS willing to help students in need!! I have taken various courses with him, and all of them are great!!! Take any of his courses, they are totally worth it!!!!

This is my favourite prof. He is so intelligent and does great lectures. Knows his stuff, but is not too intimidating. And is really funny, I always laugh in his class, and I learned tons just by listening. I didn't take any notes, everything he said just was absorbed! Great class and prof!

Paul is without a doubt one of the finest lecturers at this university. While he is a well-read and challenging prof and a commanding intellect, he also manages to be approachable and endearing, arguing effectively for the continued relevance of both Dante and medieval literature.
