Comment:

Carl is an interesting personality, doesn't assign a lot of work, but can be a tough grader. There are many small in class participation points that really add up if you skip class. He likes to spend class time telling stories that he thinks have big moral values, but really don't. If you put in some effort you can get a good grade, but not fun.

Easily the worst professor at VT. He tells you exactly what to write for a creative writing class! He's an egotistical, arrogant, self centered old man who thinks he's the only writer worth reading in any class he teaches. He WILL shoot down your work for arbitrary, personal reasons. Worst class I ever took, avoid this professor at all costs!

This teacher didn't like me or my work. I took a creative writing with him and was actually failing the class. I turned in every assignment, received Fs because he "didn't like" my stories. I got tutoring to try and pass his class, turned an F into a D. That's when I decided to withdrawal. If he likes you, you'll pass. If not, get out quick.

Immensely incompetent and overly arrogrant and hypocritical. Keeps saying upper level class yet we barely do any work. Cancels a fourth of classes. Early dismissals a dozen times. Feels more like a high school course. A horrible teacher. If argue, says he has published books so he is right and your wrong. Pompous. Inconsiderate.
