Gambone is the coolest professor I've had at Kutztown. His lectures are interesting but I'm not sure what his grading method was. I had a paper where the only correction he made was a capitalization and I received a B. Seemed a little excessive to me. Go to his office hours to ask what was wrong with your paper if you receive less than an A

Dr. Gambone made modern American history come to life with an informative and humorous lecture. Very willing to help and we had many discussions on the study guides and readings we were quizzed on. His essay tests require a lot of memorization and people without a deep interest in history will not find this a GPA booster.

Dr. Gambone is one of the best professors I've encountered at Kutztown. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about what he teaches. Also, he is by no means an easy professor, but I think that makes his classes even more worthwhile. If you give his class your all, you will do well. If you want to truly learn the most that you can, take his classes.

Dr. Gambone's class was always enjoyable to me. A lot of people told me it would be a tough class, and it was but all you have to do is apply yourself. He was very helpful and kind. He always made class interesting by cracking jokes, but I learned a lot in his class.

Okay, so at first you think this class will not be too hard because all of the quizzes are easy assuming you read the article it is based on. But, the two midterms and final are huge essays that make you want to cry. I don't think anyone in my class got above a B on the midterms and final. Would not recommend Gambone.

He is a really tough grader. Gives a few quizzes, 2 midterms, and a final (all essays). Doesn't give out A's. He tried to make jokes to make lectures more entertaining but he was just flat out rude. Often said that he doesn't think any of us bought the book but would write "source?" on my essays when my source was the book.

If you are interested in history I'm sure he would be great but if you're just taking it to get the required credit, I would avoid this class. There are tons of quizzes on little articles which are generally simple, but the Midterms are tough. Even with reading the book. He's a nice guy, but you have really got to like History to pass.

One of the worse teachers I have taken throughout my life. Half the time he doesn't even talk about the material, you'll find him trying to relate the material to something in todays world and then he gets completely off topic. If you have the opportunity to take the same class with a different teacher, do it. Can see nipples through his shirt.

Dr. Gambone is seriously awesome. He's hilarious in class, and he makes literally every little tidbit of Latin American history sound amazing which makes it all that much easier to learn from him. You HAVE to do the readings every week because he assigns quizzes. He is a tough grader, but he is worth it if you involve yourself with the material.

Fantastic professor, if you are interested in history then every lecture is a must see experience. Your exams scores almost completely determine your grade, however, attendance and participation will also make the difference between a - or a + in a grade. The same goes for his HIS026 class.

Dr. Gambone makes sitting through a 1.5 hour class fun. He often lets us out early, which is a big relief. His class isn't hard if you take it seriously, and he gives an option of multiple choice tests or essays. Take the essays. I'm pretty bad at history in general, but his class is easy if you work for it.

The man is pretty good if you are a history major, he will make you better at your degree. I would not recommend him if you are not a history major as you will find he is a pretty tough grader on specifics. He makes a ton of jokes that makes most of us laugh, and he is a fallout fan so he gets extra points for me. Overall would take him again.

He loves knowledge. His assigned reading and main text were amazing. His lectures were illuminating. The class added a lot to my outlook on life, I really got to see the struggles of some of the great men of history and how human they were. However, if you're less smart than average or just wanna skate through your classes, skip this one.

As a History major who has taken courses with many of the professors in this department I can tell you that you should only take a class with him if you absolutely have to. Even then you probably shouldn''t. Had gotten As and Bs in all of my History classes until taking one with him. Ended up with two Fs and my GPA has been destroyed forever.

Great guy, hard class. He doesn't like to give out A's at all. Tests are extremely difficult to get a good grade on. You will learn a lot and you will remember dates in history better than you ever have before. If you want to learn a lot and put in the effort, this is the right class for you. If you're looking to skate by, it's not going to happen.

Good guy and a good teacher, you will learn a lot if you put effort into the class, but by no means will you get an A unless your brain is a history textbook. He really doesn't give A's often at all, I studied for every quiz and got 2 A-'s the whole semester...and that was just quiz's. I don't know anyone who got an A on one of his exams.

His classes are very hard, there is no doubt about it. But it's nothing you shouldn't be able to deal with if you're in college. Suck it up and actually study, and you'll do fine. This isn't high school, people. If you actually care he can tell and factors that into your grade. If you slack off then he won't bother with you, and you deserve the F!

Honestly, he is a great professor that really knows what he is talking about. He is rather difficult and he actually challenges you. You must attempt to show up to every class and you MUST participate. Participation and attendance is a huge part of your grade in this class. If you don't show up or participate you will fail.

Makes things harder than they need to be just for the sake of making his class "hard" and has no problem failing students. Never failed until taking his class and here I am on the verge of an F, maybe even a G. There are more efficient ways of learning the material and if anything his teaching style made it harder and more confusing.
