His classes are not easy by any means. You need to put in an effort and work hard on the labs. He is always willing to help and makes his students earn their grades. I loved his personality, but if he doesn't like you, watch out.

I don't agree with the reviews of Dr. Bredlau. I am the kind of student that always works hard and strives to do well but he made it very difficult. He made me feel bad when I didn't understand something.When I asked a question,his answer confused me more. He means well, but he is the kind of guy who is never satisfied, no matter how hard you work.

DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! He is mean and very rude and expects everyone to know everything about computers and how to build them. He makes you read two books too and after each assignment you have to write a question and then answer it. He gave us four assignments due in one week once. And he always has spit on the sides of his mouth which is gross.

Great professor, he do his best to teach u the material. Unlike most professors in the computer dept. he cares. Is not an easy class but if u do ur Hw, participate and pay attention you'll be Ok.He is tough with the testing, but curves. He is funny in the wierd sort of way lol but hell keep ur attention.

Great professor, boring class. He's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he does. Gives two exams and a final, plus fairly easy assignments. The exams are tough, but don't worry about it--the final grade is curved. I'd definitely take another class with him.

Its weird..he's really nice most of the times but sometimes he becomes really rude. BEWARE: when you come in his class he says"WELCOME" in such a hiper manner that it scares you lol. He's nice but really teaching isn't his thing. Sometimes I feel that he just doesnt want to help you. Exams aren't that hard. Just read the book and and u'll be fine.

Had his Assembly Language class in 1980. He helped me get my first job and still is a source for career advice 25 years later. What more can I say? Teaching isn't what he does, it's what he is. A wonderful person and mentor.

Had him for Assembler, Java, Logic, & a couple other classes. Classes were hard, but I learned a metric ton. I took his Grad Level Algorithms as an undergrad mostly because I knew no matter what the topic, the instruction would be top notch. Dr. Bredlau is one hell of a prof and one hell of a guy.

Dr. Bredlau is a great teacher with a great heart. He does sometimes teach a bit fast, but is always ready to give extra help. This class is stimulating, but if you aren't already a computer wiz be ready to do some work (dont worry it's not too crazy). Good class. Good teacher. Fun and slightly insane...but arent we all???

carl is one of my favorite professors ever! he's so nice and goofy and really wants to see his students do well. very understanding and willing to help in any way he can. i have no idea where his bad reviews came from, those students must have really screwed up in his class because he's awesome!
