This class is hard.Be ready to spend long hours with her assignments/labs.Pair up with someone that knows what (s)he is doing.Always ask questions regarding the labs, assignments and the exams. Prof Deremer is a nice preson but somewhat unclear on what she expects you to do in the class. The key in this class is to ask as many questions as pssible

She is great professor of MSU. Its true that her Labs and assignments are tricky but if you ask her questions, its so easy. She helps student as much as she can. Those who study, won't feel that she is hard. But student have to pay attention whatever she explain in class.

She goes fairly fast for someone teaching an introductory course, and she is also quite vague on what she wants sometimes. However, she is exceptionally lenient and will extend deadlines. Make sure to use her office hours. If you got less than a B then you were very lazy. Curves a lot.

Just awful. The pace of the class is obnoxious for her lack there of teaching abilities. Everyone in my class was lost and rather than trying to go back and clarify or help she basically just shifted into high gear so everyone could be further lost. Avoid her like the black plague.

Not exactly the best professor.She has a hard time explaining topics in class. Assignments and tests aren't that bad cause her tests are open book and notes and assignments is just coding.Quizzes are kinda annoying since they are based off a tutorial online but easy if you read.She doesn't grade anything until the end of the semester.

very sweet professor, and would be a great teacher if she could teach!!! she automatically thinks that since she knows every code that the students will too. the tests are pretty flippin' hard. the projects are too, but as long as you have 2 other people to work with you'll struggle but get a high grade. some of the quizzes are pretty easy too.

She is a great professor and does know what she is talking about. You will definitely learn with her. Whatever you don't get in class, she'll be more than happy to go over with you during office hours. Her grades are more than fair and you do get your assignments back. I do reccomend you take her.

Very strange way of teaching...goes in and out of the room for no apparent reason sometimes, occasionally yells at the projector, and repeats herself way too much. It made the subject more difficult to follow than needed to be. Nice lady, but not recommended as a professor.
