POSC isn't my strongest subject, but with the way that he taught the class really made a difference. Read 15 cases for each week. If you have any questions/concerns, meet with him outside of class, this really helped me. Participation is important so participate. Midterm was easy but final was more difficult (no study guide). Great professor.

Judge Danberg is an amazing professor who is dedicated to helping you achieve the best grade in the class as possible. He is personable & is willing to discuss student questions and give real life examples to expand on the theory in the books. The case briefs are necessary, along with participation to pass as class is run like a law school class.

Danberg is a good professor, but the class material can be challenging at times. He assigns 15 case briefs per class, which meets once a week. I cannot stress enough how important it is to take well-versed notes of what he is saying. These will be tested on the exam. Tests are difficult, but he lets you choose out of a series of various questions.

Judge Danberg is without a doubt both the smartest and kindest professor at UD. If you need help, he'll spend hours on end talking to you, and buy you food. Tests are tough, but you have the option to answer TF, short answer, or essays. You do have to go to class, as attendance and participation are worth about 35% of your grade.

Danberg is the man. Current Judge for New Castle County, former Attorney General. Class has lots of reading and the tests are really hard, but you learn so much and if you pay attention in class you'll do well. Take him if you want to go to law school.

Absolutely LOVED Danberg and the class!Attendance is not exactly mandatory, but if you don't go, you won't get any participation points and won't do well on the tests. He gives one midterm and one final. They are each composed of 8 sections, but you get to pick 4. Also have to write 4 briefs (easy). I would definitely take it again if I could!!!!!!

Fantastic professor. One of the best at UD. Obviously has extensive knowledge of the material, as he currently practices law. If you are a serious student who enjoys class discussion, the class will be extremely interesting and not too difficult - although time consuming. If you don't want to go to class/participate, AVOID.

Great teacher but tough course. If you plan on going to law school or a career in law enforcement take this class. Decent amount of reading but it's stuff you will almost certainly be reading in the future. I recommend this class to anyone in the CJ/Poli Sci field, but make sure you take it during an easy semester.

Had to take this for my POCS req... not extremely easy, he's a tough professor. Attendance is pretty much mandatory, he doesn't take it, but you HAVE to participate...you get points and it is like 35% of your grade. You'll brief like 150 cases over the semester. But overall it's not too bad. I'll probably end up with an A in the class.

By far the best class and professor I've had at UD. Very stimulating class and info is very well explained if you've done the reading. Large part of grade is based on preperation & participation. If you are planning on going to law school or want to take an actual college level class this class is a must!! Well worth the effort, can get an A.

Nice guy, the class however is a different story. Nothing is interesting you read 100+ pages of a law school level text. He tells you that tests are near impossible when the class average is roughly 70 %. Must read or will fail.

Teaches at a law-school level. If you decide to take this course, prepare to read about 100 pages a week of a tiny print case book. Always lets you out early though.

This prof is an incredible teacher and a cool guy. As a law school student, I recommend his class to all who are thinking about law in their future. His class gives probably the best glimpse into what a law class is like, because he basically teaches as he was taught in law school.

This class is a ton of reading and briefing of cases. You will brief about 125 cases a semester in this class with 1 midterm and 1 final. But it is great if you are going to law school and it is very worth all the effort. Danberg is a cool guy and has a great sense of humor. Take it!
