Take him in the summer! The class is an easy A. Exams are multiple choice and are short. He also gives clues on the exam if you ask. Not very easy during the semester

You have to go to class in order to get credit for the clicker questions. He just reads off the slides, so it's boring, but it's a moderately easy class. Read the book to learn the material and go to the lab because there's always a quiz and it'll help your grade in the long run. Good luck!

Fantastic sense of humor, but doesn't use the most effective teaching method. I got an A, but stopped attending lecture after the 3rd week. Just read the book instead - it's a lot more clear than the powerpoint slides. Make sure you attend discussion - it's incredibly helpful with the right TA.

Easiest chem class every. Tests were taken mostly from the study guide, which you go over during discussion with your TA....labs are extremely easy, just show up and you get 10 out of 10. My TA helped with the quizzes!!! The clicker questions are the only things that kept me going to class.

It should be an easy A class. THere are online assignments and in-class clicker questions that you need to be in class for, as others pointed out. His lectures are practically a short version of the problems from textbook. Exams are very very basic

I could teach this class about 15 times better than this man. He makes it SO unnecessarily hard and incomprehensible. Ridiculous. He is technologically retarded but still tries using this clicker system? Easy class if you took Chem in high school, but if you don't remember a lot, he's not gonna help you at all. Easy lab, quizzes and exams. BAD prof

There will never be a day when this guy does not mess up on a powerpoint slide. This semester you had to go to class becuase we had "clickers" that we had to respond to questions too and your clicker grade is part of your grade. The class itself is easy if you've taken general chem in high school. The quizzes and labs are really easy too.

This guy is terrible. Had a substitute for one week and there was a huge difference. All he does is click through power point slides and do problems, he doesn't actually explain the concepts at all.

Well, he certainly likes to hear himself talk. "Well I just took 15 minutes going over this, but it's an outdated method that won't be on any test or quiz, and actually it's scientifically incorrect." Have fun teaching yourself chemistry if you take him.

I think he's a great professor. Hes not always very clear, but he tries to joke around and you can tell that he is very passionate abobut what he teaches. I found his class very easy and the thursday-night quizzes really prepared us for the exams.

This prof. means well butits his time to retire. You can't get much from his lecture, so make sure you read the book. Always check web-assign nightly for new quizzes and assignments b/c he forgets to tell you when they are. His exams aren't too difficult. He likes a lot of math. I have been out of school for 12 years and don't remember any algeb

Although he uses a lot of powerpoint slides, which professor doesn't? The work in that class is understandable and the material is absorbed at a much slower pace. His downfall is not reminding his students that there will always be a quiz every Thursday evenings, which is a bummer! His homework is tedious but the things are pretty easy if you are n

he's not a great teacher if ur dtuck with him, then definatly attend the review sessions they will really help!!! He tells really stupid jokes though and he means well, just needs to take a few new teaching classes instead of relying on the ones he took in the stone age.

He tends to trivialize concepts that are not as easy as he may believe they are and he is very difficult to understand because of his improper or lack of use of a microphone and the fact that he will write on the board, in small letters, with the lights still dimmed... Prof. Neth substituted for him one day and there was a marked difference.

I decided to not listen to the ratings thinking that he couldn't be as bad as people were saying he was, he is. I have the hardest time understanding anything. Out of a lecture that started with a about 100-150 students, only 19 are still attending lectures. DON'T TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!
