Some lecture material isnt in textbook. Material can get boring. Tests are hard and can have several potential answers. But there is extra credit options and a big group project due at end of semester.

I've had Sherry now twice. She knows her stuff! She gives great advice to students to help with their career outside of college. We have guest speakers at least 3 times during the semester and we do lectures and group projects the rest of the time. I've learned the most about Marketing in her classes. Essay questions on tests. Attendance required!

The class consisted of Exams, practice exams, and a big project at the end of the class. There were multiple opportunities for extra credit which was nice. The lectures could get a little dry at times but overall not too bad.

Sherry is the BEST professor I have ever had. She cares so much about her students and is sure to give quality feedback that inspires you to dig deeper into what you are capable of. You do not use the book because the material is so advanced and updated. She integrates wisdom and stories in her lectures which are memorable and helpful.

This class has been the best taken so far in college, I highly recommend. Professor Cook is awesome and makes class enjoyable, she provides extra credit opportunities as well! Attend class because the assignments are explained more clearly in the classroom. There are a lot of little assignments that could add up to make or break your grade also.

She keeps class interesting and has the ability to relate everything back on a college student personal level. I have to say I am glad I took this class my senior year. Definitely prepared me for the real world. Yeah you learn about a little bit about resumes and cover letters, but it's only like for the first two weeks. The rest of semester is all about discovering who you are as a person and how you can market that. I recommend everyone take it.

I took "Marketing Yourself." The 1st part of the semester was really useful. The 2nd part was just a lot of busy work. Grading is pretty hard. Lots of writing things that seem pointless, but learn a lot of real-life things. Meet a lot of great people. (If you hate group projects like I do, this class will not be fun.)

I've taken all of my advertising classes with her & she is AMAZING! She has real world examples and you actually feel like you learn something but have a book to fall back on as well. Easy tests. She's extremely helpful, wants the best for her students and actually wants them to do well. Group projects are very time-consuming, plan your time well.

If you are an advertising major and must take this class, DO NOT TAKE HER. She may know a lot, but she does not know how to teach it. She is unfair, and unrealistic. Without the group projects, I had an A. With them, a B. Avoid her for 354 if you can. Unless you already have created your own ad campaign and know how to write a "plansbook." Good luc

I took her for MKT 354 last fall and had a good experience. She's great, knowledagable, really cares about her students..you could tell she wanted everyone to succeed. The class was def a lot of work..not a class for slackers, but well worth it. I feel like it's one class @ MSU I got my money's worth for. Take her! You'll learn a lot.

Dr Cook is very intelligent and knows what she is talking about. The project however is a lot of group work outside of class which is stressful. Not a class to take for fun, although interesting.
