Worst professor ever. Extremely demeaning to students when making corrections. Many students just didn't come back. Do not take this professor.

I'm sorry, but I have a completely different view of Dr. Hammond. I found him to be one of the worst teachers I've ever had

He is the coolest guy ever. I am sad that he left to Chile. If you ever took Music 151 (Concert Band), you know what I mean.

Doc Ham is the most amazing person, and a wonderful teacher. He honestly cares about every one of his students, good or bad. He knows everything you want to know about music. He looks just like Randy Newman and has the voice of an angel. I LOVE DOC HAM!

I played in a community concert band in Canada 30 years ago conducted by Dr. Hammond, although he wasn't a Dr. then. His enthusiasm and spark really lifted the band to its highest potential. Nice to see that he's still at it.

Dr. Hammond is a very nice person. He is prob. the nicest guy I've met. Very good trombone player. Pretty good conductor. Good choice of music. Directs comic opera plus teahces at coronado high I think. I played bari-sax and had a good time. Group was varied and concerts were good. Nice time.

Dr. Hammond has been the most influential person in my life. Ever since I joined the Concert Band during the summer of 1999, he had always been more than willing (and patient) to help me improve both as an aspiring musician and a person. Now that I'm moving on to attend a university, I hope to return afterwards and join the band once again.
