Excellent teacher & really nice & helped me with transferring - - class counts for General Ed & ALSO for CSU / UC history graduation requirement. We had some great discussions in class, plus you do learn important things & she has some extra credit that raised my grade. Thanks!

Comment:

Very easy to understand her, good for me as international student. Professor explains in a clear way and helps a lot and has extra credit for everyone. Showing some great films. Easy to make an A when if you just study a little and show up to her review sessions in class -- when she is giving lots of hints for tests. :)

i remind you, do not take this professor. The toughest professor i have ever had, this was the only class that i did not get an A. I would not recommend you only if you are an international student because its hard to keep up with her lectures and paper.

Recommending this professor as the best for U.S. History. Learned a lot in a fun class. Very nice person and so helpful. Stays after class for extra office hours to help you.

I don't feel that there's any reason not to get an A in this class because as long as you just take notes on her lectures and study the terms that are COMPLETELY outlined on her syllabus then you should ace every test as they are all MCQ's. Just invest your time to do the reading and an A will come and sit in the front to make sure you hear her.

Easy A if you read, her tests based on what she wrote and said during lecture, but if you read, higher change to get perfect score. Her teaching style entertain students. Her tests and final are multiple choice, so if you read and pay attention to her lectures, you pretty much get an easy A, she grades essays really hard, so be aware

Happy to take her good class. Since I am international student, it helped a lot when she writes on the board. And she sends helpful reply by email, or in visit to office hours or after class she is so nice to explain information. So, I will be Highly recommending this professor.

Very helpful professor. She is very clear at explaining things so you know what will be on the fairly easy multiple choice exams and she gives many hints in the review sessions in class. Gives extra credit also and we had great discussions relating the past history to the present important issues. Thank you for a great class! :)

She will outline pretty explicitly what she expects of her students. From the numerous emails, the 8 page syllabus, writing on the white board, and use of overhead projector she loves to write things down so that you can write them down as well! she covers everything that you're supposed to read/know in lecture. Zero Tech allowed in class.

Really good class. Recommended to take this professor for U.S. history. She is entertaining & teaches well & will help you a lot and she does give 3 types of extra credit. I also had her class count for double -- for G.E. plus the U.S. history requirement for CSU or UC.

Cini is a great professor, she is very nice and really cares for her students. She is very lively and energetic during lectures. Exams were multiple choice, which are easy if you pay attention in class and study. Attend her review days because she throws out a lot of hints for the tests. Lots of extra credit opportunity!

Dr. Cini is the professor in History at De Anza where I really learned a lot in her class. So, don't believe what others may say. Enjoyed this professor's way of teaching history. Bringing in pictures, real movies, & great discussions. Also The multiple choice is easy to do well on if you attend her in-class review sessions. Took for G.E. 4 units and fulfilled CSU American history graduation requirement at same time. Which is a Good deal at De Anza because it's cheaper.

Took with my friends and had fun with the way she runs discussions, she's very entertaining. Most fun i had in a GE class! an she brings in stuff on the news so the history makes more sense and is more interesting. Thank you for a great class! :) (and for the extra credit which raised my grade)
