Very political and paper heavy teacher. She seems to favor those that have her political beliefs/similar ideas. She becomes very invested in your personal life, and assigns many many papers and journal entries. As long as you do the work and show up and give a little effort you will do fine.

Carol has been by far one of my favorite professors. I took EN 111 with her as a freshman. I think she did a good job of allowing us to transition into the college experience . She also brought into the discussion world events and always asked our opinions on all of the topics. Would highly recommend.

Seriously the worst teacher I have ever had. I though the class would be about Good Books because that was the course I signed up for, instead she had us doing pointless group work and talking about the world. The books she picked were absolutely horrible and extremely boring. I would not recommend taking a class with her

Terrible professor. Maybe she's good at other classes, but DON'T take her 110. She says that the work is free and to choose what to write as long as it's clear and concise but changes her mind later asking for much much more. She talks down to you and has a very annoying demeanor. I beg of you don't take her.

Honestly, this woman has inspired me as more than just a student. I came in with hopes to become an Athletic Trainer and leaving her class I am now looking into journalism. One of those teachers who actually care about their students and sincerely want to help better them. Great class, great professor, I couldn't speak higher of her.

AMAZING professor. I'm still writing because of her. Students who have little imagination and want to be controlled in a sit and listen, hands off classroom setting may want to avoid her because she encourages you to think and respond creatively to assignments. I was really bummed when this class ended. Comments really help learn good writing.

terrible terrible professor. i hate going to this class, i feel everything she does is completely unorganized and does not pertain to what the class is supposed to teach at all. i have asked for help on many occasions and never receive a clear and helpful answer. also i feel she is always talking down to me as if i am not worth her time.

Carol was my favorite professor by far. She took the time to get to know each student and their strengths and weaknesses. Always thought I sucked at writing until taking her class. She is fabulous. I actually enjoyed attending her classes. Highly recommend her!

She was a pretty decent teacher. She definitely helped me improve my writing. She makes the portfolio seem like a huge deal, but it's not. Her organization skills have bothered me though. She cancelled 3 or 4 appointments with me and I still haven't gotten my portfolio back. Overall, easy class. Definitely better than some other teachers...

Great prof! She made writing intresting and lets you have the freedom of what you want to write. She makes class intresting. I would take her class over and over again if I could. Assiments are more busy work but do end up helping out a lot.
