very, very easy class, but very boring lecturer. I'm not very into history anyway so I didn't mind, but if you really like history she will probably frustrate you. she also goes off topic ALOT. the tests are basically guaranteed As though, and she's pretty nice and can be amusing

Teacher has interesting lectures keeps things fresh by giving personal examples. History is not my strongest suite, but I know I passed. All exams are open book/note and you may use older editions. Even the instructor had an older one that was on the Chabot website. Attendance is strict!

This is a great teacher! I have been taking her HIST 8 class over the summer and it's so easy! Exams are open book and open notes, there's no reason not to get an A! Just take notes and pay attention during her lectures and you're golden. She's very old-school, however, and will get on anyone for coming in late!

Linn-Downs is not only an easy class, she is very well educated and not only with history but politics as well! She is really interesting to listen too since all you do is write down notes from her lectures. Open note/book tests and no HW. Great teacher!

Linn-Downs is awesome! Such an easy class! If History is not the class for you then take her! No HW either! Just take notes and you will be fine for the tests, which are open note/book. Plus she doesn't speak in a monotone.

She is an easy A class since she allows students to open their textbooks and notes during exams.No homeworks.But she is a boring lecturer.Watch out if you are not interested in history.You might want to drop her class.Aside from that,she also does not stand up while teaching.Finally,she is a Democrat in terms of political beliefs.

this is the worst teacher I've ever had. She didnt stand up for any lecture. she is impressively boring, its amazing how much of a personality she lacks.Oh yea and i went to the bathroom once and when i got back she made a huge deal about me disturbing the class for getting up, and wasted about five minutes of class time to do this. she's very rude

Dr. Linn-Downs is... okay ><. She is usually pretty boring but is pretty clear in her lectures. No hmwk, open book and open notes tests. Frequently goes on tangents! Does not know how to work the projector. Used to be a clinical psychologist so she sometimes talks about psych in the middle of her lecture. Boring class, but easiest class ever!

She is super easy and pretty nice as long as you don't get on her bad side early on by being late or talking. The tests are all open book open note matching. I took her over summer and despite 3 ch. a week had no trouble. She does get off topic but just try to follow and take notes. I never read even one page of the book.

yes this class is easy if you can stay awake. easily the most boring class i've ever had. And she is way to old to be teaching. Her lectures are pointless and gets totally off topic. Show up on test days with your book. Dont even bother taking notes in the class. You cant follow her.

Oh god, this has to be one of the most boring classes EVER. She talks forever and will talk a lot of crap about something that she doesn't like. The good news is there's no homework at all. Your grade is completely based off of open note and open book tests. No excuse not to get an A.

You need to have a really good intention span in order to take her class. She talks a lot but gives you the material you need for every exam. Her exams are open book and open notes so her class is very easy. All you need to do is come to class and take notes and you will do fine.

This teacher is one of the rudest teacher's i've ever taken. Make sure when you take her, you use the bathroom and have something to snack on to keep you awake. She basically goes off the top of her head on the subject, so dont bother to take notes. just rely on your text book and your index and you'll be fine... she needs an attitude adjustment.

I agree w/other raters that this class was an easy A; however, I disagreed w/her policy on no breaks during a 2-hr lecture period. Although I did not have any problems w/this, this did pose a problem for students who needed to use the restroom. Most specifically, she made an issue of it and pointed this student out in front of the class.

She is one of the Worst teachers I've ever encountered. She would single out students of minority (Indian to be specific) and gave them a hard time on purpose. She accused one student of taking the question sheet of a test out of the classroom, and without having any sort of Proof what-so-ever, gave that student an "F". My advice, STAY AWAY.

Dr. L-D. is the bomb! Anyone who rated her below a 4 for any catagory but, "Your Interest", has got to be a horrible student. I know my classes were full of them-immature, fidgety and just plain rude. Dr. L-D. is "old-school". Her teaching style is that of teachers back when they were just that...teachers. She's a professor-not yo' mama. Grow up!

HEr class is boring. She lectures out of the book, and for those that read the book, there's no point in going to th class. The good thing is that her test are extremely easy, they are open book and open notes. THough the subject gets interesting a little, she takes a lot of time explaining things and getting to the point, sometimes going in circles. The good thing is that all her talking does clarify the topics, though sometimes a little to much.
