A complete sweetheart with a touch of wit. Very willing to help, picks books of interest, and always approachable. Picks textbooks that aren't too expensive, and I can't wait to have her again for CanLit. Now that I know her teaching style I feel I will do better this time around.

I LOVE HER! she is just wonderful and sweet! I can only dream of ever being as classy as she is when I am her age... what a sweetheart, she makes me so happy whenever she walks into a room plus she just loves to smile which makes my day :)

Good prof. Take extensive notes. They come handy later on for the midterm and final. When writing essays, she only wants to hears her own opinion. I quoted her exact words and got a B+. She makes herself available for extra help though it doesn't much clarify anything. I'd take another class with with now that I understand her teaching style

Absolutely wonderful prof and person. Incredibly kind, and extremely fair. If you do the readings (there are a lot) and give it an honest effort success is a given. She's not big on extensions, but this benefits the student in the end.

I love this woman! She was very clear and felt like a very grandmother-type always stopping to make sure we got it, going over everything twice just in case, her marks are fair because she offers her help every step of the way. She's a magnificent teacher and the nicest professor I've ever seen!

She is always great, but especially in her areas of interest such as can lit. I loved the material we covered; it was so cool to study poems by past local authors. She marked a little harder this time around, and we still haven't got our essays back yet. But she is Dean of Arts so no wonder. A+ :)

I love her! I definitely lucked out to get MacMillan...there are many who teach 1201 and some make it quite hard. She was a great marker, very positive, super sweet and mom-ly. Very easygoing on us but very intelligent and a great prof too. :) yay!
