Prof. Howell is boooooring and very monotone, his got a dark sense of humor. you either get the joke or you dont and even if you do its not that funny. Just study your slides and you'll be good for your exam. He offers extra credit with the quizzes he provides on canvas, their not mandatory but if you do take them thats a bonus for you.

Professor Howell is the best teacher I have ever had! He made Europe feel like home for us. He is pretty laid back. He knows everything! Ask him anything about airplanes and he will give a detailed answer. he is alot of fun to be around. I would not have asked for a better study abroad teacher. I learned more than I would have thought.

Dr. Howell is a very good and smart professor. He really wants students to learn and do hard work. He is a straight forward and willing to help if needed. I liked his class, even though there was a lot of reading and some writing, it was worth doing it. I heard that is a very hard professor, but no one dropped his class which means he is good :)

Forget the fact that the class is tough: it's supposed to be to weed out those who can't make it as a pilot. Just ask him about all of the crazy stuff he's done, and you will surely find he is one of the most awesome people in the world with top-notch stories. Ask about the time he flew over disney world: you'll get a kick out of it all!

Flight safety is a pretty easy class and prof Howell keeps it that way. He can be kinda picky and doesn't like slackers. He usually teaches graduate level though. He was helpful when you asked, but expected a high level of work which is fine. He was reasonable when it came time to grade. Had some great real world examples of everything discussed.

Dr. Howell is an excellant professor who knowa what he is talking about. This is not a class to breeze through. If you apply yourself as is expected of college students than you will do fine. If you want to get an easy grade than look somewhere else. BUT... You will learn with Dr. Howell.

The guy is not very personable but his class is very interesting. There is no homework and grades are based on the 4 tests. The readings he assigns are short and should be read to do good on his tests. He has a sense of humor and I would recommend him for flight physiology.
