Madame Mabe is a great teacher. She does expect you to learn a lot on your own and study ever night but she is a SUPER easy grader. Deff recomnd her. She does give you homework EVERY NIGHT so be prepared but honestly the assignments only take 15 to 30 min. Sometimes she even gives you bonus when you do the CD part of the homework. TAKE HER!!!

Excellent teacher, very clear. I had absolutely no knowledge of the language prior to her class. I took it in the spring, then went to Paris in the summer and could read most of the signs and such I saw. You'll learn a lot. Though, don't expect to have a killer accent after A100. Do your work and study, you'll ace the class.

If you dont already have a good foundation in French then you may find her hard. I had the foundation so i breezed through the class with absolutely no trouble. Her tests are short, straightforward, and easy. She isnt the best at teaching though. She pretty much tells you to go home and read the book (which is completly in french) and learn it.

Easiest class I've ever taken in my life, and I'd never studied French before! Professor Mabe is very nice and helpful. She never puts you on the spot! She doesn't spend a lot of time on pronounciation, so you have to study that mostly on your own, but I still learned a lot! Take her!

Mrs. Mabe is a treasure! She is the sweetest lady who doesn't have a bad bone in her body. Loves her students and cares about their success. Is totally honest with you and has real southern charm. Very encouraging and always positive. Easy to talk to and just a lovely person and excellent teacher. Cheers to you!

Mme Mabe is awesome. She speaks French in the class because it's a French class people. The only way you learn efficiently is to immerse yourself. Since this isn't high school, it's up to you to study everything or ask questions to get yourself on the right path for exams. Take her classes. She's great!

I took her for the first semester of French I, and I enjoyed the second semester equally as much. It's really not a hard class, but I struggled a bit because she does speak almost entirely in French. She's so sweet, though, and she's always available to help. I would definitely recommend her classes to anyone!

I'm sorry this lady is nice and all but i could NOT follow her for the life of me. She speaks very fast sloppy american french, not clear at all but grades fairly easily on presentations and essays. Her tests are VERY hard though and knowing what to study for them is even harder. Many people withdrew from the class.

I love her! She is such a sweet lady, and while I sometimes have a hard time following her (she speaks almost entirely in French, even though I'm in an intro course), I think she's fantastic. I learn a lot in her class, and she's incredibly helpful. Take her class!
