All of her lectures are on a powerpoint and she doesnt post them on moodle. To get the notes, you have to go to class everyday. Lectures are interesting and she shows supplemental videos to help you understand some of the things she covers in her lectures. Easy general education course. Take her!

Really funny and interesting lady, but boy, does she ramble. Too many anecdotes, not enough objective facts. Can't really tell you too about archaeology after this class besides DIVA lab, Underwater Maya, and Canada. Good if you just need an elective, awkward if you're an anth major like me. 3 tests, multiple choice, pretty easy w/5 bonus questions

RAMBLES A LOT. Some exam questions are based on her personal exploration experiences so don't zone out during her stories. Overheard her tell a student who missed the first 2 weeks due to an injury that studying someone else's notes, reading the text, and continuing their own notes wouldnt help them do well on the exam.

Dr. McKillop is a great professor when it comes to the class as a whole. She makes the class feel like a story, but because of that, its very hard to determine what you need to be writing down. She also moves very fast, so it can be a hassle trying to take notes.

Heather Mckillop is a sweet and funny person, but I wouldn't take her again. I had her for Anth 2015. The only grades were 3 tests, all heavily based on her lectures. She tends to ramble about random things for the majority of the class period, and then flies through the powerpoint in the last five minutes of class.

She posts word lists for every lecture online, which are helpful, to an extent. Her lectures tend to be very drawn out and boring sometimes. She can spend 30+ minutes talking about one slide that has a picture, and you have no idea if you're supposed to be writing any of it down.

This was a very interesting class, and Dr. McKillop is very interested in the material that she teaches and in making the class enjoyable for her students. Go to class, take notes from the lectures using the word lists that Dr. McKillop provides, and study the word lists for the three MC tests and you'll do fine.

Not a good teacher at all. Would not bump my grade up .3% at the end of the semester. She rambles in class and it is confusing what we should know for the test. do not recommend her.

Super interesting in class. she teaches it like a story so it is easy to follow along. tests are multiple choice not hard at all. you must go to class and get notes because the majority of the test questions come straight from the lecture.

One of the best professors I've had. She loves her job and you can tell, class is always interesting. She gives 3 test with 5 questions from the book rest from lecture, as well as bonus questions. I made an A and never read the book!

Very good teacher. Sometimes rambles and is difficult to understand.Only gives three grades so studying hard for a test is necessary. Also need to read the book for answers she doesn't explain in her lecture.

Heather is one of those professors that loves her jobs, both teaching and actually doing archaeology. Her class is for people who genuinely have interest in the subject, be it for a career, or just expanding your horizons to fill elective credits

Heather McKillop is very passionate about the subject and has one of the greatest personalities you'll find at LSU. However, unless you are interested in the subject, you may have serious trouble with this class, like me. Not a blowoff class.

She took a potentially interesting course and made it as dull as dishwater for me. Was a task getting through her lectures, although I learned a lot about looters and the "new" archaeology (but not much else).
