There's no question that she is very well read and enthusiatic about art history, but her personailty is so..unusual that some students dislike her. She is very timid and soft spoken, so her lectures are very structed by slide show presentations. The one oddity is that her tests are almost comically easy. Simple identification: name and artist.

do not like this woman at all. her lisp is tolerable to a point but her know-it-all attitude drove me crazy. she seemed like she had some kind of personality disorder and whenever i had a problem in class she just repeated herself over and over again like i didnt hear her the first 5 times. total idiot that doesnt deserve to teach.

Very bright instructor, with dry sense of humor. She wants her students to succeed, and is straightforward, so no need to contact her outside of class. She knows her art, but is very knowledgeable (brilliant) on other subjects (so watch your spelling and grammer!). Loves baseball. Show some enthusiasm on the subject and make her day!

Cupps is nice enough, but her class is very slide-presentation driven. If you're looking for a riveting art history class, I would not recommend her. A lot of students found the tests difficult, but if you go to the study sessions, she tells you everything you need for the tests. A plus- the final is not cumulative.

I love this class. Pay attention, study, and go to the study session and you'll get an A. The class is really boring, but it's art history so what can you expect. I recommend her class to anyone, as long as you can sit through 2 and a half hours of boringness twice a week.

Nice lady. She is very quiet and seems kind of intimidated by students but if you study for the test it is usually easy to get an A. Not a very good The extra help sessions are amazing she tells you which essay wont be on the test!!!

Well, as others have said, Cupps is very quiet. I had to sit at the front just to be able to hear everything she said. She seems scatter-brained, always stopping mid sentence, repeating herself over and over. But, class was really easy. If you go to all the classes, study sessions and pay attention during lectures you should get an A.

Literally tells you what to write on essays for tests if you go to her exam study sessions. She's sweet, but DULL as all get out. Poor thing's a tiny, frazzled trainwreck, but it's a super easy A if you put forth even a little effort.

Text book = NOT REQURIRED! finally, a teacher that knows i won't read it anyway! the things she teaches in class won't match the text, and what she tells you in class is what you should know cause it will be on the test

Charismatically, she is incredibly boring and has some sort of social anxiety. She isn't good at responding to emails either. But if you pay attention in class, take notes, and read you will be fine for the tests. She does do a good job of covering all the material and writing down key terms on the board.

Nice teacher kinda quiet, mostly uses slideshows. She seems like a know-it-all; but she really does(at least about art history) so it never bothered me any. Tests and assignments were a bit different, but not too hard. Make sure you know the names of the artwork in the essays! As long as you take notes and open your book now and again you'll be ok.

Pretty easy, I didn't study except for the essay part of the test which she held a review session for. If you push her she will eliminate one of the three possible essay questions. If you draw pictures of the slides and make a few notes you probably won't have to study. Don't talk to her one on one, she doesn't make eye contact. Also, EXTRA CREDIT!

Professor Cupps has no speaking skills and is constantly dazed. She is absolutely impossible to get ahold of outside of class - never once answered any of my emails. She posts review sheets for tests, but usually not until the night before...not much time to prepare. If you are looking for an extra 2 and a half hours of sleep, take her class.

What a god-awful experience. She is so unclear and CONSTANTLY contradicts her own instructions. The basis behind her grading makes no sense. I'm fearing for my GPA, which is something I have never done.

I never opened the book once and got a D on one of the tests and still got a solid B. I am indifferent to Prof. Cupps as a person, but I would take her class again because I liked the requirements and it was pretty easy. In Survey II there were four tests and one EASY paper. I would take her again.

A really easy class. Before every exam, she gives you a review sheet that tells you exactly what's on the test, and she tells you three possible essay questions that could appear on the test. If you go to the review session before the test she'll give you the answers to these and eliminate one of the possiblities. And somehow people STILL fail.

she showed up late everyday, always seemed dazed. never seemed fully awake..and neither did i. presetation style: pace back and forth along straight line, talk monotone, say mmmkay, point at wall, repeat. lack of interest from her = lack of interest from you. she basically repeats the book...youre better off getting your education at a library.

Her class is really easy with the study guide and tests, but she could not be any more borring if she tried. I know that it's art history, but we all like art. Half the class should not be obviously fighting sleep in a class. And 2 1/2 hours seems like it should be long enough for class, but hers always runs over. ALWAYS!

She is one of the most unlcear professors I have had, or maybe the most unclear. Her tests are not easy either. You will write two essays on each of her tests, and five sentences on each of seven different terms. Then you have a presentation to give at the end of the term and a paper to write.

She quirky, and that's what made her cool. but everytime you wanted to ask her to ellaborate on something, she'd say to see her after class. 2 1/2 hours in her class was a completely snore fest. The slide projectors were louder than she was and she would get upset if you asked her to repeat what she just said. She kinda reminds me of the south park teacher who say "um-kay" after everything! It drove everyone nuts.
