She is awesome!!! This is the first 300-level course I've taken, and it's also my best grade at university so far. The way she constructs the assignments is really helpful for future courses, especially if you plan to go to grad school. She's so passionate about the subject and just an absolute gem to learn from. She made the material so engaging!

Love, love love Catherine! I only took this course because it was mandatory for my degree, now I can't wait until I can take another class with her. The class was easy to follow and she made it very clear what was expected of you for projects. Overall, awesome professor!

You can tell she is really passionate about the subject. There is no need to buy/read the books, she goes over all the details of stories in class - just take good notes. She provides possible questions that will be on tests ahead of time - super helpful! Tests are 3 short essays and 10 definitions in a one hour class - be ready! No time to go over

The worst history in art teacher! Although she IS super supportive and wants everyone to succed she ends up talking to the lowest common denominator. She is exceptionally boring and by the end of class its hard to determine if she has actually said anything or just promised to say someting worth writing down. I hated going to this class.

You either get Catherine or you don't. I saw both in this class. Very open ended, not specific in assignments even though she tries to be. If you're on her wavelength, you'll understand what she wants. No exams, one paper, one optional, and an ongoing project. Sweet and funny. Go to lectures if you want to do well.
