I love Stock! She's like my second mother - she is a genius and super helpful with anything you need. If you're passionate, she responds ten fold. And she is the most reasonable professor I've ever had.

Took her AMS Inro course. Her papers allow great deal of flexibility. She values personality and appreciates those that presnt new and somewhat obscure ideas. I enjoyed writing all of her papers.She relys heavily on readings,however good notes and consistent attendance enough to do well.She also provides many extra credit opportunities.

She is one of the greatest professors at Conn. She can make any discussion interesting. She really takes in interest in all of her students. She will do anything to help you do well. You can get away without doing all the readings, but they are generally interesting and helpful in writing papers. Overall best professor at Conn by far

One of my favorite professors at Conn. She is engaging in lecture and interacts effortlessly with students. Such a skilled teacher and obviously loves what she does! Very easy to talk to outside of class and wants to help you succeed. Makes an effort to learn everyone's names within the first week!!

Absolutly the best professor I have had at Conn. Even if you aren't interested in history you must take a class with her before you graduate. I enjoyed coming to class every day. I wish there were more professors like her!!

So wonderful to have a professor who makes a classroom a comfortable and fun environment. The one time I thought about not going to class I changed my mind--she's too much fun. Creative and available to students and funny. I appreciate her dedication to her students.

Great fun in her class -- she was one of the nicest professors there and extremely fair in her grading process. I took three classes with her and did well in all of them. Easy to understand her as well. She is also very liberal.

My only complaint is that the Minnesota accent is a bit hard on the ears. She knows her stuff, but she's not intimidating at all. Creative, assignments, interesting readings. Go for it.
