Dybowski is great, but this course is very difficult. There is A LOT of reading and he grades very toughly. Stay on top of the readings! Also show up to class because he takes attendance, and make corrections on papers to receive points back. I didn't do well on the first exam, so attendance and corrections ended up saving my grade.

Yeah, you know where you stand with him, he hates you. Having said that, went into the final exam with a B+, he said "Hey you don't have to take the final if you don't want to". I said "Have a good summer, I'm outta here!" Overall, do well on the first test, practice the practice tests. The Schrodinger Equation is nobody's friend but his.

Dybowski reminds me of my grandpa, truculent and funny. He always tries to pronounce foreign words and names in a different accent like he's Pierre McGuire. He does a poor job explaining things, however. If you have the chance take someone else. Also do well on the first test because the class gets considerably harder after that.

Lectures are painfully boring..and really useless..Read the text, and you will be find on the exams. He hammers the first 2 papers. Do well on the major paper, and you will be golden.

The subject matter can get boring and the texts present so many names! He will really grade hard on the first few papers and make you feel like you are a terrible writer, but you just have to take his criticism and fix it the way he tells you. I thought I would get a terrible grade in the class but most of us ended up with an A at the end.

Dr. Dybowski is an excellent professor if you speak with him one on one, but his teaching style in lecture is a little high school. I did very well in his class despite skipping quite a few, just keep up with the homework and you will do fine. Also he is a nice guy, dont belive otherwise!
