Best professor I ever had. He actually takes the time to explain everything in a clear and understandable manner, sometimes with a little humour. Assignments are easy, but you must start studying days before any tests. If you want a good grade you need to take good notes because there is no textbook. Hence, attend lectures if you want to pass.

He teaches you things and asks for weird applications and throws trick answers not related to genetics at all (More related to Law). You also have to read gigantic papers as they will show up on the final exam. Additionally, he tends to go off topic a lot and ramble about a lot of unnecessary things.

Exams were great- but needed you to know the materialknow how to use it (study lots to do well). Quizzes and assignments are relevant and actually kind of fun. If you put in the effort, it's not that difficult and if you love genetics, expect this class to meet your expectations. Myron was really nice, informative, and made the class fun.

Great lecturer. Some people complained about trick questions.. they weren't trick questions, they tested whether or not you were paying attention to the lecture material. Definitely have to go to class but its worth it because they are very interesting.

Really enjoyed his lecturing style. Uses a lot of thought experiments and tries to get the class involved with the material. Explains the concepts quite well and available for out of class consultshelp. Gives bonus marks for creating a Holliday junction!

Great guy. Class is fun but pointless. You have to do research on everything said in class if you want to well. The lectures don't line up with the midterms (like everyone said theory vs. application) and midterm question are often worded poorly and/or are tricks. The articles are very hard to understand (even for him as answers may be wrong).

Really good class. I liked his approach: well-organized lectures that left room for more detailed discussion of whatever topics required it, and relevant slides without a lot of explanation--I much prefer this type of slide because I get bored if the prof ends up reading off a bunch of text.

Had him for BIOL 3104, what a difference. He's so awesome in this course. He's clear with what he expects from u. Follow study guides and get an easy A. Such an interesting course, he's so enthusiastic - obvs tho since this is what he does. Classes go by so fast that you are disappointed that you have to go to ur next class. Assgnts are easy & fun.

Definitely knows his stuff, but is not particularly good at imparting material to students. Very poorly organized slides with minimal/no useful information on them. However, very available for out of class help and really helpful at answering questions before mid-terms.

Learned theory in lecture, but was tested on problem solving. Hard to tell what was/wasn't important in lecture. May put similar problems on both midterms. Read the articles he gives and try to understand them as best as possible. Leaves room for bonus marks

He's a nice guy and a good speaker but this class was awful. There was no clear direction in where the material was going, no practice questions were done in class and so questions were attempted for the very first time on the midterms/exam, and I just found overall that the 'imparting' of the course material was not done well.

He is funny, charismatic, and easy to pay attention to. I thought this class would be tougher but he gives a lot of easy ways to bring up your mark including telling you what will be on the exam. If you don't attend class this course would be tough.

First of all - the lab is traumatizing. The TA's don't have a clue what is going on yet somehow find themselves in a position to be really tough markers. The class itself is interesting enough and myron is really charasmatic.. but his exams are tricky (I think on purpose) - but the opportunity to bring your grade up is there through take home exams

Overall a really great prof. He explains everything very well and is more than willing to help you out whenever you need it. Very outgoing attitude makes for some funny jokes. Midterms are tough though and HEAVILY textbook based, but he does give you an option after each midterm to do it again for 4 bonus marks.

Does not use Power Point, uses old fasioned slides, goes on tangents. No organization, very difficult to study, terrible and unfair tests, but DOES give extra chances to up marks, and bell curves. He is really helpful, and is a really nice guy- but needs to discover POWER POINT. The lab is horrifying and TAs admitted it is too hard for this level.

An awesome prof, and entertaining! The midterms were a bit tough, but he's more than willing to help raise your grades with make-up marks. Don't rely only on his notes, though, read the text.

Sure his notes aren't the best but they're not bad either, problem is most ppl have difficulty with the material but he's very helpful if you ask, he lets you redo midterms at home for a extra marks and he usually bumps the entire class, really cool guy and his research lab is beyond capacity which speaks for itself, I couldnt ask for a better prof
