Prof. Saydam is such a great professor, the entire class can be learned online on his canvas page. Class attendance is completely optional, and offers 5 mini quizzes throughout the semester before the exams as extra credit. Final is optional, and if you watch the videos and prepare well for the exams its a guaranteed A.

Dr. Cem Saydam is awesome, point blank period. He respects everyone and explains topics in an understandable and comical manner. Usually lets out of class early once he gets through the material for the day.

I would definitely recommend him. I took the online class over the summer. He posts videos online that explain everything. I watched them, did the practice problems, and took the practice tests. When I took the real tests there were no surprises. The practice problems were more difficult than the test problems. The final is optional.

He's great! Its a hybrid course so all the material is online and he uses class time to work through examples and answer questions. Gives extra credit quizzes to help your grade. Don't buy the book! Exams are very straightforward. Work through all the examples posted online and you'll be fine. Optional final. His jokes are hilarious too! Take him!!

4 exams and optional final to replace lowest test. opportunity to get 5% extra credit through quizzes before exam. Hybrid course, only met tuesdays and only met thursdays for exams. Very funny, uses real world examples. watch his videos on canvas over and over until you can do practice probs by yourself.

If Saydam is available for OPER3100 you should take him. If you are anywhere near an average student, he breaks everything down for you in such a great manner! His videos are absolutely helpful, and if you watch them, go to class, and do the practice problems he posts, you will get an A! textbook not needed.

I had him for decision modeling and it was probably the hardest class to get my decision modeling class degree, but he was a great professor. I learned a lot and pulled out a C. failing the first two exams and almost every mini quiz, somehow managed to work my way to pass the class.

Guys- take this prof! Such a nice, funny guy who really cares. Takes the time to answer any questions & gives 5 extra credit quizzes which help TREMENDOUSLY. If you're not a math person like me, the first 2 tests are kinda hard but the last 2 are a lot better & easier to understand. I actually had fun learning math in this class! Deff recommend

Nice guy, makes corny jokes. He breaks down the material and teaches you the basic way to do it. Not a lot of grades, but watch his videos on Canvas before the tests and you'll easily make an A/B. Never even opened the textbook.

Study for the exams by watching his presentations on canvas and you can't get below a B. Put a little extra in and you'll be just fine in A territory. Gives plenty of extra credit, class isn't mandatory, and helps you anyway he can. Great guy too.

Hardest class I have taken in the Supply Chain program at UNCC. The professor goes too fast and ends class early. He acts as if he has somewhere better that he needs to be or something else that he would rather be doing. The think that sucks is he is the only proffer for this class. Stay far far away. I would rather take business calc with satan

It's an excel based class and a few of the mathematical parts can be complicated. He explains everything in online recordings so keeping up is no problem. Goes over everything step by step and makes the hard stuff (prescriptive modeling) easy to follow. Tests and quizzes are pretty easy. Just watch the recordings, you'll do fine. Best prof I've had

Dr.Saydam is a great professor. He is very knowledgeable , very helpful,he cares about his students. I just finished summer class with him and I enjoyed class a lot.He spent additional time with each student until everyone understand the subject.Make class interesting. Cem Saydam is a GREAT professor. You do not have to go to class if you're comfortable with the material (which you should be its very easy and self-explanatory). He posts EVERYTHING he talks about in class on his website so even if you miss a class you're fine. Tests are also easy if you pay attention to examples he works in class. GREAT GUY!

Awesome professor. I actually learned quite a bit. He's an easy grader. This took the pressure off and actually enabled me to learn and not be afraid to make mistakes. Wish more professors were like this!
