Diane Boehm is an example of what an educator should be. She cares about her students and their future. She is challenging but wants you to learn and grow. Thank you for contribution in helping me throughout my college career. I am truly grateful!

Comment:

Well, Professor Boehm is a very difficult teacher. This is not a class to slouch in. If you expect to pass it decently, you have to devote all of your time to it prettymuch. There are 6 assignments in 1 semester and they are all difficult. The writing center was my only hope in passing this class and I passed the AP English exam in high school.

Professor Boehm was so hard! She seems like she would be a good prof at like Harvard or some prestigious school. She obviously knows what she is talking about, but puts you down if you don't know. She expects way too much out of us, and grades her papers super hard.

She is very picky and does talk down to students. I dreaded going to class and I couldn't handle it so I had to drop it and just take it with another teacher. I had already done the assignments in other classes and got good grades on them and then when I turned them into her, she said that I needed to go get help on them.

she was VERY mean to me, talked down to me like i was stupid and lazy. she was very unclear as to what she wanted, and was a hard grader. if she doesnt like you, then most likely she will grade harder.

Miss Boehm was very helpful and it was obvious that she cared about the students and their progress in the course. She required our meeting with her on at least two occasions so she could personally tell us what we needed to work on. She was always enthusiastic about the subject matter and encouraged class discussion about every topic.

Worst teacher ever! She expected way to much. We worked on at least three major projects at one time. She acts like this is the only class a student has in a semester. Aviod at all costs. She stressed me out!

I have to say that I am pretty good at English and although I've done ok on the first couple of assignments I cannot stand this lady. She is so picky that it is hard to focus on writing a good paper when all you can do is focus on grammatical errors that you may have made. I understand the importance of this, but she goes overboard!

she's doesn't want to give you a good grade. if you struggle at all, she'll hold a grudge w/u. If you fix everything on a rough draft that she said, she will find new problems in your final copy that she didn't mention before. she often is threatening, frustrated, angry and sometimes downright mean. tries to put on a happy face but she is fake.

She is a wonderful teacher. She is mainly a Honors teacher so I can understand how students that are weaker in English wouldn't enjoy her class. She is picky, but I liked her. Just do your work and always put forth 100% and you'll learn a lot.

She is a very nice lady and is willing to help you whenever posible. But her help doesn't mean you will get a good grade. I am a very good writer and struggled to get a B in her class. She is a perfectionist but you will learn alot.

She is very knowledgeable. She can be really helpful if you take the time to ask questions. She's a perfectionist though and grades papers hard. Expects you to take her class very seriously. I think she's nice and I'm good at english, but I'm not getting a great grade in her class.

Comment:

She is very willing to help you if you ask. She explains what she wants you to know very well. It is almost impossible to satisfy her, though. There are only few papers over the semester and none of them have length requirements. She is probably the best prof to have for this class.
