Difficult class if you don't like to read or study. Attendance is mandatory, for every class you miss you lose 1% of your grade. Difficult professor but I really liked his class, makes you think and get out of your comfort zone. Btw his jokes are not funny but he makes you laugh anyway.

Hardest professor I've ever had. He takes you out of your comfort zone and forces you to do things that you'd otherwise never do. It's a hard and stressful course and you'll lose a lot of sleep in it. But he changes the way you think and makes you a better business person. I hated him the whole way through, until the end where it all made sense.

The man, the myth, the legend, Chamkaur Cheema. I still miss this man's smile and the chuckle in his voice. I wish I could go back and do it all over again.

Chamkaur struggles to be direct about what he expects from students, is very cryptic and then grades extremely hard based on poor instructions. His sales knowledge is poor (I work in corporate sales). He marks hard to make students fail, to increase class donation revenues (as many retake) to make himself look better for his own career.

You either love this course or hate it. Chamkaur is a great, engaging professor. I've learned that you definitely need to be outgoing and willing to put in the work, otherwise you won't do well. Go to his office hours and ask for help if you're struggling. He respects that.

Chamkaur has a reputation for being a tough marker and for his controversial sales course. He took time out of class regularly to encourage me and to coach me. He pushes students to go outside their comfort barriers - that's why he's not popular. He was a mentor to me - the skills I learned from him have led to my success in the finance industry.

Meh, I don't get all the hate. While he's certainly not the easiest marker, he gives you plenty of extra credit to make up for it. He doesn't make you waste money on textbooks, either. You do learn quite a lot about business and life in general, though, so it's a worthwhile course to take with him. If you're semi-intelligent you should be alright.

It makes me sad KPU doesn't address the fact that Chamkaur has a terrible attitude. He admittedly "doesn't play well with others" and openly insults students. Beyond that his explanations are often contradictory. He thinks he's doing his students a service but with a little research one can see this is not the case by a longshot.

I did not raise money for him and therefore did not pass. This arbitrarily difficult course is a pointless obstacle to graduation considering all of the other challenging courses in the program. Unfortunately, he brings in a lot of money off the backs of students, which makes him look good to the school. Do not take this course or program with him.

He is the reason why I would recommend students avoid the Entrpreneurial Leadership program, or even KPU's business programs altogether. He makes you raise money for the school in both sales and practicum, providing him with many accolades and prestige within the university. He treats this program as if it's a masters degree, and grades accordingly

Chamkaur is a GREAT professor! He actually cares about his students and wants them to succeed in real life. Sales isn't meant to be easy, it's meant for you to build your network and connections to be more successful in the real world. I found this class to be highly rewarding because Chamkaur is very helpful, & motivating. I would take him again!

This is a useless course. You'll see many people cheat to pass while hard-working students fail miserably and repeat this course over and over again. Do you believe people selling cookies flowers t-shirts etc to make 5k10k in 6 weeks? Especially to "end consumers" not business. That's right. Very unethical and stupid. Run while you can

The worst professor I encountered throughout my degree. I had a 4.16 GPA with 4 courses to go when I had the misfortune of having Mr. Cheema. He failed over 60% of our class and created so much stress that one of our classmates had a breakdown. He played GOD with peoples marks and when was begged for help did nothing. Many were unable to graduate.

Chamkaur is a funny engaging person. However, questions need to be asked when the class average is below the grade required to move on to the next level. The average wasn't low due to a wide range, rather, grades were consolidated below 60%. While his anecdotes are funny, the grades won't let you move on. That's more important.

He's very knowledgeable, but he needs to check his ego at the door. It's ok at times, but he needs to teach the necessities of the course itself & what's required to do well instead of preaching about value. However, talk to him, see him often & he will help you. And just do the sales portion! He holds that against you passing or not.

I'm sure he's a smart guy (or so he says so), but he didn't really teach anything. He spent most of our class time talking about how much he loves Kwantlen. Midterm is self-taught. Any questions asked will be answered sarcastically and insultingly.

I had a 4.0+ GPA through out my entire degree, yet he felt otherwise. He picks on weak students and does not like leaders, so there is a big clash when I attended his class. Fortunately, I brought in a lot of money, so he could not say much, but do not take his nonsense

Amazing Teacher! Consider yourself lucky if you have the opportunity to learn from him. He rewards hard work and is not biased. His courses are not designed to let slackers slide by. He is always willing to help but will not give you the answer. Do not expect any pity, stop whining, work hard & you will be amazed at what you learn!
