Comment:

I didn't do super hot in his 281 as I had some major life struggles. But I accept 0 slander of this man haha! Amazing teacher, passionate, believes in his students and is always up to help you and be great. He may be 'monotone' but his passion for what he teaches, if you share it, keeps you interested. He's also quite funny if you pay attention!

Comment:

Dr. Geiger is really generous and wants his students to succeed in this class. There are three small assignments, a midterm, a large place description project and the final exam. For each of the two tests, he gives a study guide that narrows down what topics you should concentrate on. I recommend him as a professor as well as this class!

Comment:

I love Dr. Geiger! He is the sweetest man, loves Geography, and truly cares about his students. His classes tend to be a little boring because he reads from powerpoint, but all of the content is useful, interesting, and on the test. It's an Easy A as long as you show up and do the out of class assignments like the big Place Description Project.

Comment:

I took Geography of PA with Geiger and it was one of the easiest courses I've ever had. If you do all of the small projects and your one big project, you'll get at least a B. Only has two exams (Midterm and Final) which both require studying for but not much. Attendance is pretty relaxed as well. He does take it but you can miss a decent amount.

Comment:

This Map Interpretation class was an easy A. While you could pass if you never went to class, don't fall into that pit you'll do so much better in his class. There's only 3 HW and 3 exams. Take notes, he goes at a good speed. He's always available for help, even on the assignments. Overall, he was a pretty great Prof, would definitely take again.

Lectures can be tedious, but Dr. Geiger obviously cares about the subject he teaches as well as his students. Test are extremely easy as long as you attend class to catch the notes, but he allows up to 7 missed classes before it affects your grade.

This was the most painful class I have ever taken- granted Maps do not interest me in the slightest. Dr. Geiger is a great guy though! Tests and assignment are hard

Very good professor. Gets very involved in the material and encourages participation in class. The assignments are tedious, but easy. Take your time to make them neat and accurate (It's a guaranteed A). Good class, definitely a GPA booster.

He was ok. I was looking forward to the class but he makes the class go slow and his voice is monotone. To me it was like more the history of PA not Geography of PA. I was disappointed in the class.

Dr. Geiger is a good professor. He is very nice and will answer any questions you have. The only downside is that he is very monotone when he teaches, so it's easy to drift of during class. Other than that, I have nothing against him or the class, and I would recommend him.

Great teacher. very informative to be honest. really loves what he is presenting and the tests are very easy. showing up and taking few notes will get you an A. very good person as well, monotone at times but it is honestly relaxing. lectures are no problem to sit through. very picky with maps though. very.

He's a nice person, but he's so monotone that it's sometimes hard to stay awake in class. His assignments for the most part are really easy, BUT he is sooooooo picky on maps. If you are a millimeter off you will get points off

Overall this was a good class, but it was pretty boring. He is a good teacher and grades pretty easily. There were 3 exams and 3 assignments and he posts notes online (no book) and takes attendance every class. I would recommend him. He will try to help students if they need help too.

Geiger is... an interesting guy. The class itself is easy, but he does take off points if you don't do things EXACTLY the way he wants. My maps for the projects would be off by a millimeter and I'd lose a few points, he gave us a rubric for a huge assignment, then changed it on D2L and didn't tell anybody, so I had to re-do it all. Still an easy A.
