Most people get a bad impression of Carl. He is hard on us because he actually cares (unlike 80% of other profs), and he knows first hand the competetiveness in the job market. Really knows his stuff.His hair and moustache scream 'Guru'. Very fun to try to correct him on stuff, he doesnt like it but its hilarious,keeps me awake in lecture.Great guy

One of the best professor in the program. He is 100% a geek at heart and has the stories to back it up. One of the most knowlegdable prof's and knows when to admit when he is wrong. If possible get in to every course he teach's you will learn so much.

Great guy, helpful with anything you need to get Linux going. Very easy to talk to. Linux 1 for CNTS is boring, but stick with him and in Linux 2 you will have a great time.
