Interesting guy, lots of interesting stories. A lot of articles to read that you need to know on exams. Doesn't supply a lot of notes on slides or board though. He is funny, makes a lot of great dad jokes and keeps class fun. Solo presentation and research paper. Field trip was fun.

Lots of articles to read for class that are going to be in the exam. Doesn't really give out a study guide on what to study for the exams, so you have to basically study everything! He's a really nice guy tho and quite funny.

He is such a good professor ! Very passionate about his studies, he always tells little stories from his travels- which helps with understating the material ! Gives take home atlas quizzes- which require work but over all helped me boost my mark! Loved Charles, take a class with him!

Really funny and nice, class time is easy to follow and not strung on. Tests are hard at time, totally based on the text, though he is a pretty lenient marker.

Very hard marking instructor, he does not give you enough time to complete the tests and exams. Very weird exam questions, instead of asking about the concepts of the chapters. Asks questions like what is the capital cities of the weirdest country in the world and like that. Tough tough marker!!!!

Charles is a very easygoing guy, has a lot to talk about, gives many examples, is very helpful, and the material is interesting. He doles out top marks for good writing, and effort. There are a few field trips which make things more interesting. Is a bit of a scatterbrain but all the more entertaining. I would recommend him.

This was a tough class. Be prepared to write fast if you're taking notes, as there's no slowing down. The textbook does not contain material covered in the lecture, and it's an awful book. The lecture material can be interesting. Greenberg's passionate about this subject and marks tough. Midterm was hell.

I had several courses with Charles back in 2000. He's such a great lecturer. He taught us a lot of issues about global inequality, desertification issues in Thailand, Diaspora, Grameen Bank and M. Yunus and so on. I still remember most of the hot issues he discussed with us. Gracias to Charles. P. Lin

One of my favorite teachers! I have taken both 201 and 205 with Charles. He is very passionate and very excited about geog. Make sure you stay on his good side (attend class, speak up, and work hard) and you will get a good mark. Make sure you READ THE BOOK! Tests are very hard and involve knowing everything.

Really no structure to the lecture. We are a month behind and it's really hard to figure out what's important to know as he goes off on too many tangents. Pointless powerpoint slides. Seems like a good guy who is very intelligent but i just wish he was more organized with his lectures and the course overall.

The best class I've taken at Capilano yet. Charles is one of the smartest and interesting profs I've met so far and I plan to take more of his classes. Although his tests aren't too easy, he's very generous in marks with the papers as long as you make a decent attempt. Highly recommend this class and teacher, he's funny, interesting, and insightful
