Comment:
Kind and smart man. Entertaining but material was dense and dry. At times lectures were hard to follow. Average amount of course work. Expects everyone to participate in class discussions.

Comment:
America as a Global Thing was perhaps the worst class I took in 4 years. Lemert could not stay focused during lectures. Ask him a question, and he'll get distracted before he can finish answering it. As stated, he would single people out by race or class in a disrespectful manner.Sadly this was the high point of the class.

Comment:
Very hard to follow lectures--all over the place and totally disorganized. Loves to single people out of the class in a not always very respectful way, although I am not sure he realizes how he comes across. Very frustrating class--had to force myself to go. But the readings were great and some of the stuff he has written is positively brilliant.

Comment:
His lectures were engaging, but were very difficult to follow-he works in a stream of consciousness style. With that said, Lemert has the approach to learning most professors SHOULD have. An incredible person, willing to help out anyone. He's a great person.
