M303 is not an easy class, and Livingston did not make it easy. He did make it about learning, and if you put in the time to work on the material, you will learn. You can tell he cares that his students learn. Very old, but makes an effort to teach a younger audience. Sometimes uses the textbook, but an ebook is fine. Good sense of humour

There'd be times where I'd come to class feeling overwhelmed by everything, but this was because I never prepared for class beforehand. However the tests never seemed as hard as the material he taught. It's a tough class, but his office hours help out a lot. Also he's a fun and quirky guy--loves Dr Who, ballroom dancing, and has hair in a ponytail.

Prof. Livingston is such a sweet person. He truly desires for his students to succeed in his class. While the subject is difficult, attending his office hours regularly was my saving grace. The expectations of the course are reasonable, but it is necessary to do the homework and stay on top of things.

He wasn't terrible, but I was not a fan of his teaching style. First of all, he has no ability to project his voice so you have to sit up front to hear. Second, he is an attendance maniac. We got two free absences all semester in a class that meets four times a week. Finally, he doesn't post grades online, making it impossible to know your grade.

Great teacher. He definitely understands the material he is teaching. Class is extremely useful although going to office hours definitely helps just to get some more examples. The only downside to this class is homework is from the book instead of online so you dont know whether your answers are right or not until later. Highly recommend though

He's great. The class isnt really a math class, its more of a mathematical thought class. Office hours are almost mandatory though--or partner homework. The homework could take you hours easily

The class is really difficult if you have never taken stats in high school or taken finite before. The professor is not helpful in teaching the material, he simply reviews it. If you are not familiar with probability beforehand do not take his class. Being good in Calculus does not help, so don't let your advisor tell you it will.

He is nice but I didn't fit into his teaching style.The material is easy, but since he didn't teach very systemically.So sometimes I would prefer my own books to his lecture. The lecture was more like to make easy things complicated and the textbook too.

This class started off very work-intensive, but it was more laid back later in the semester.. "Chuck" is an amusing teacher who loves when you come to office hours, and he hosted extra study sessions on the weekends. Only downsides are his tangents on interesting but irrelevant concepts and that he lectures in a whisper- get a front row seat!

He's a really goofy guy and sometimes that makes the class interesting. He's helpful, and definitely accommodates his students whenever there's a request. Great guy.
