this class should be tuaght by an economist not an administrator. he has no interest in research. during his term as provost all of the key research areas have suffered: the business school, economics and political science. where has he chosen to build up: surprise the medical school, his college

Very Nice Chap. But this class would be much better if a REAL professor or a graduate student taught it, rather than a university administrator. It's clear that he is not into research. So, the class is far below the intellectual norm that characterizes the Economics Department. It's a fluff class for the lazy student.

Definitely take this elective if you have time! The Provost is a really incredible professor who genuinely wants you to learn the material. He is somewhat of a hard grader, but not too bad.
