This class should be taught by a real economist, not someone from the med school. I'd recommend the brilliant Michael Wolkoff, who is a truly great professor.

The Provost should stay in the Medical School. He seems to have little knowledge of Economics. I wonder if he is an economist. So, good class for those interested in Med School. Bad class for those interested in Economics.

this class should be tuaght by an economist not an administrator. he has no interest in research. during his term as provost all of the key research areas have suffered: the business school, economics and political science. where has he chosen to build up: surprise the medical school, his college

Very Nice Chap. But this class would be much better if a REAL professor or a graduate student taught it, rather than a university administrator. It's clear that he is not into research. So, the class is far below the intellectual norm that characterizes the Economics Department. It's a fluff class for the lazy student.

Definitely take this elective if you have time! The Provost is a really incredible professor who genuinely wants you to learn the material. He is somewhat of a hard grader, but not too bad.
