White is the man. Extremely candid, tells it like it is. Very dry sense of humor. Excellent class.

This guy doesn't take idiocy from people. Straight up points out when you are saying something dumb. That's the way it should be. Do the work in the labs and act like you are interested and you will do awesome. Be ready to do a couple of presentations... don't worry they are easy because you will know exactly whats going on by the time you give the

This dude cracks me up how he treats you like an idiot if you haven't been paying attention. Tell em Chuck! If you pass the exam but fail the class, you pass the class. if you pass the class and fail the final you pass the class. Can't wait to have him for failure analysis.

I took this guy for 301 and took him again for 575. One of the better profs at KU, in my opinion. Projects were challenging and fun. It was on-your-own, but the prof incredibily helpful. Expects students to commit some serious time to his graduate level courses, so be ready. Highly recommend this course and this prof - perfect combo!

You have to learn the material and study everything to do well. He gives you so many real life applications of the material that the lower grade is worth it in the long run. Take if you're looking for a challenge and real world lessons.

Hard prof, but extremely helpful. I learned a lot from this class. Labs were very educational Will hold informal review session before tests. Tests are hard, but study everything (especially the graphs he draws during class) and you'll do fine. Highly recommended prof.

Hard class... hard professor. It is difficult to know what he wants from you. If given the choice of barely passing (which is what I am doing) or taking Palmer. I would have taken Palmer(I had him for IME 100... I know what he is like). Chuck knows everything about this course, and if you can teach yourself from random conversation then take him.

As long as you do the projects and put some effort in, easy to pass. Curved grading. This was a grauate level class, so a lot was on-your-own work. Prof was there for consulting really.

White teaches what matters, and is helpful at explaining concepts during lab or after class. His test can throw some crazy ish, but he curves, so it turns out okay.

Nice Guy in class. The labs are informative and very easy. He also gives NO Homework. His tests however are a nightmare! He doesn't clearly explain what will be on a test, and if you miss a few questions, it will really hurt. He does have a decent curve at the end. It's not hard to pass, but if you want to get above a 90, good luck.

Fantastic Prof & Class. Took it years ago and still remember the important information. Can't say that about most of my classes. Prof knows his stuff and conveys the message to class well.

Great Guy - knows his stuff. Doesn't convey his knowledge so well to students. Very straightforward - wants to make students think on their own. Tests SUCK! but there isn't much homework and very lax lab reports - plus he curves.
