I took social theory with him first, which was a great class. I liked that class enough, that I decided to take his pop culture class. Both classes were terrific. He's very clear, breaks everything down to make it very relate-able. Lots of work. Highly recommended.

Social theory is a hard course but if you read the material, attend class, and take good notes youll be fine. The research paper is alot harder than you would expect. Dont wait to start it! Brown is a good prof but fairly harder grader, you need to know the material in an out.

Rel and Pop culture would be easier if you had a little knowledge with religion, but not necessary either. Dr. Brown is helpfull and answer any questions. It's essential to read the class material to do well - not a class you can avoid buying the text book.

Very interesting, but tough course. The class had alot of reading, 10 quizzes, a group paper and presentation. Despite the level of difficulty, Dr. Brown did an excellent job teaching the class, and always incorporated personal examples to help illustrate or explain a theory to the class. Brown is very highly recommened. If possible, take him.

Its very hard and there is a ton of information to learn in a short period. And I hate cumulative tests. He is very intelligent and very down to earth. He always talks to students and is very helpful when we need help.

Social Theory is tough to read and follow. However Cuck does an excellent job at presenting the material so students can comprehend tough a.s.s theorists. Grading is a little hard on papers, but just take many notes and everything will be ok

Great guy but must get confused easily b/c he likes to bracket full paragraphs labeling them "awkward." Hes got some different views b/c I've never even had an english teacher as harsh on my papers as he.
